Clear amber with a medium sized off white head. Loads of piney hops hit the nose and the aroma also carried notes of grapefruits and malt. Sweet caramelish flavour with loads of hops, grapefruits, pine and lemons. Finished dry and bitter. Nice one.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Super clean lemony aroma; like delicious lemon pine-sol. Crisp, full-flavored taste is perfectly balanced, intense fresh hop flavor and sweet malt. This is superb.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bomber bottle. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy earthy sour citrus aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy smooth bitter flavor with a medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is another standout for this house.

Bomber from Kahns Fine Wine and Spirits (Indianapolis, IN). Pours a generally clear amber to copper color with massive two finger white to off-white head. Aroma is sweet and floral with a huge floral hop nose and notes of caramel, honey, grapefruit, citrus, pine, floral esters. Flavor is sweet and floral with notes of citrus, grapefruit, pine, honey, caramel, floral hops and floral esters. Medium body with a floral hop finish. Aroma was better than the flavor, but still a solid beer.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bomber. Reddish, copper body. Frothy white, slowly diminishing head. Hoppy aroma of grapefruit, citrus, pine, mango, flowers, orange with hints of toasted grain, bread and caramel. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. The nice malt backbone turns the citrus into flavors of pineapple and orange juice with a bit of earthiness. Medium to full body, watery turning smooth texture, moderate carbonation. This beer is easy drinking with interesting complexity and a great balance of bitter grapefruit and sweet bread — the fruity citrus giving way to a nice, lingering bitterness. Well done.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
22oz shared by scrizzzzzzzzz. Deep roasted golden color with proper light off white head. Pineapple orange juice, some apple, light spruce/pine with malted milkiness going on. Tight smooth carbonation. Lots of inner/core pineapple flavor that is slightly bitter with a balance crystal mal backing. Normally, I’m not a fan but it is working alright in this one. Very drinkable at almost 8%.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
22 oz bottle
I was surprised to see this in distribution but I guess some bottles made it out of the brewery. Retailing at the typical $7.99 this was a nice beer for the season. I hope it becomes a regular in the annual lineup. It is already solid and with a little tweaking can really set itself apart from the crowd even more. I may just have to get more before it disappears from the shelves.
Aroma / Appearance - Foamy and delicate the head floats above a mahogany liquid like the residue left after a wave hits the beach. A light sheen of lacing betrays the fact that this is only borderline sessionable. Sweet and citrusy it smells a bit like a rose garden in full bloom. The malty backbone gives a nice structure for the hops to rest on.
Flavor / Palate - The start tastes a bit like dry maple wood. The fluid mouthfeel then turns sweet and bitter. Freshly hewn cedar transitions to a hoppy finish that sticks in the throat at about half strength. Borderline sessionable this would eventually hit you but one bottle was not too tough to polish off especially if you like savoring well made beers. If this one ever gets into wide distribution be sure to give it a try.
