Special hoppy flavors and aromas are captured by adding freshly picked, undried hops during the harvest. These wet hops impart a character unlike other brews, that is quite unique and satisfying for those who love hops – the spice of beer. Smell the hop fields, smell the freshness.

Bottle. Hazy dark orange pour with some sediments and dense offwhite head. Aroma has flowers and tropical fruit. Taste has instant bitterness but then becomes more subtle. Nice malt profile behind the hoppyness. Full body and quite high carbonation

22 oz bottle from backlog notes 2010 (had many times). Pours a clear amber color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have sweet caramel malts, some toasted bread, grass, earthy, mild resiny, some citrus hops, fresh hoppy taste, solid beer.

Trade from FlandersNed. Probably past its prime? Cloudy orange brown. Strong orange citrus hops. Malt forward, with citrus hops, vegetal touch, but unfortunately some oxidation.

Bottle from the tasting room. This frog was not so fresh. Decomposing from in a hot summer sun. Big oxidized hop aroma a flavors - wet cardboard. Really sweet and malty with a solid bitterness. Even if this was fresh it would be too caramelly for my liking

Bomber from a PUB’R capo directly from the brewery. Pours turbid deep copper with 2-finger frothy white head that laces all over the place. Nose is incredibly intense piney and resiny hops, a huge IBU load in this, with caramel malt, black pepper. Tastes dense on the palate, with a huge resiny hopload, caramel malt, and some black pepper and floral notes. This one is a hopheads dream, but may be too intense for others.

Rated on 4-27-2010 (Bottle) This beer’s appearance is a large fizzy off-white head that mostly diminishes, mostly transparent/slightly hazy orange golden tint body, fast rising carbonation, and one ring of lacing. The aroma is carame malt, grass, pine, and citrus hops. The taste is sweet, lightly bitter, caramel malt, citrus, and pine hops. The palate is lively carbonation and this beer ranges in the light-medium bodied. Overall, this beer is not overly hoppy tasting for the style and suits me just fine since I am not a hophead. It is worth trying and a beer I would drink again.
