There’s a place just south they call Frog’s Hollow, brewin’ pumpkin ale in Fall, and they only speak in whispers of the name. There’s a lady they say who has the secret, of spices picked just right. With a crying shout, she’ll knock it out, and hand you the Frog’s delight.

Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of KimJohansen. Pours a hazy reddish amber with a tiny off-white head. Heavy cinnamon and cardamom in the nose. Rather solid body, very sweet and spicy with loads of cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg and cardamom. Ends sweet and almost sticky. 200210

Bottled. Dark amber coloured Unclear. Dense small light brown head. Aroma of spice, pumpkin, parfume and fruitssweetness. Flavour of pumpkun, perfume, apple, light spice and sweetness. Medium bodied. Spicy perfumed end. I´m not overly fond of these pumpkin beers, but this is one of the better, I´ve tried.

22oz bottle. Pours a clear, amber-orange colored body with a thin, off-white head that dissipates quickly and leaves a light lacing. Aroma is somewhat malty sweet with plenty of spices. Nutmeg, ginger, and cinnamon stand out the most blending with a nutty pie crust, pumpkin vanilla. Flavor is the same. Medium sweet malts with a cinnamon sugary pie crust taste and a good amount of nutmeg, ginger, and allspice spices. Finishes with a malty spice and some florals before somewhat drying. Aftertaste lingers for a moderate duration with a slight alcohol warmth. Medium to full body, smooth, and a light carbonation. Overall, a solid pumpkin. Definitely imperial in that it has a bigger, malty body, but there are plenty of spices to balance. Nice.

(bottle - 22 oz) Deep copper pour with a fluffy head. Tons of pumpkin pie spice and cinnamon in the aroma. Very sweet and spicy. Good pumpkin and spice flavor at the start with a smooth middle of cinnamon and nutmeg mixing with the pumpkin flavor. Finishes sweet and spicy with a lightly bitter aftertaste and a hint of pumpkin.

Bottle. Low but lasting off-white creamy head. Beautiful clear amber body. Sweet pumpkin raisin honey aroma. Sweet pumpkin flavor with a cinnamon nutmeg note. Low carbonation. Long sweet aftertaste. Not as sweet as feared as the beer actually also has some acidity which, in combination with the spicy note, makes it quite interesting.

Bottle thanks to bman1113vr. The look is clear, light orange copper in color, and does not have too much head. The smell is pumpkin, sweet, and nice. The taste is nutmeg, cinnammon, spices, and pumpkin.

Bomber. Pours a light copper orange with a thin white head. Aroma i sspices, honey sweet, clove is predominant- some nuttmeg, ginger, and allspice- cinnamon is low. Flavor is spicy, light doughy cracker, sugar cookie, toast, allspice, pumpkin, honey sweetness, pretty good overall- but maybe not quite up there with Weyerbacher impy pump or ST pumpking. Nice though.

22 ounce bottle courtesy of alexsdad06. Thanks! Pours a clear light orange amber color with a thin head. Fair head retention and lacing. Aroma of vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg. Taste is pumpkin, vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon. Thin bodied. Not enough pumpkin in the aroma and the taste is a bit too squashy. Thin-medium bodied. Decent.
