3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: NOV 28, 2009 Courtesy of ogglethorp
Bottle: The aroma is very spicy with lots of ginger, nutmeg, and cinnamon. It pours a transparent golden-orange with a minimal large bubbled head. The flavor starts with caramel and light pumpkin sweetness. The finish has light ginger, cinnamon, and nutmeg. The spice in the flavor is nowhere near as strong as the aroma. Light-medium bodied with light carbonation.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from West Lakeview. I thought this was un-good. Nose of pumpkin and nutmeg, but quickly turns into cinnamon, sugar and Christmas spice - way overboard on the Christmas spice. Like drinking potpourri. Pass.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Deep orange w/ thin off-white head. Aroma of nutmeg, allspice, with a touch of cinnamon. Medium bodied, starts slightly tangy and finishes moderately sweet. A good, spicy pumpkin beer, could be thicker and more ’meaty’ but a good beer.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle thanks to Brigadier: Pours a transparent deep orange with a thin, short-lived white head. Has a nicely spice cinnamon and pumpkin nose with some rich, sweet caramel toffee undertones. Starts with good fullness and sweet toasty caramel malty sweetness with a good balance of ginger and nutmeg with a touch of pumpkin flavor, but nowhere near as much as Southern Tier’s Pumking. Still a pretty flavorful and complex brew.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
22oz bottle from Binny’s. Pours a clear orange with a creamy beige head. That’s some pumpkin spice in the nose. Fake pumpkin filling, cinnamon, clove, and brown sugar with a little citrus. Flavors are similar and not bad at first but it quickly becomes too sweet and tough to drink. If you’re into pumpkin coffee drinks or other manufactured pumpkin themed flavors you might really enjoy this. But this is otherwise tough to finish.

Bomber. Pours clear dark gold with very little head. The nose is cloves, cinnamon and pumpkin. The taste is pumpkin, brown sugar and nutmeg. Medium, fairly still mouthfeel with a little prickle. Decent pumpkin brew.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
[2576-20091031] 22floz bottle. Mild cleaner fluid aroma has lots of spices. Clear, medium orange body with a quick foamy white head. Flavour has a lot of crust spice and some pumpkin fruit notes. Medium body. Interesting but average for a pumpkin.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
22 oz bottle. Clear orange with a brief white head leaving traces. Nose is cinnamon, nutmeg, apple juice, toffee and ginger. Medium body with a yeasty tang. Taste is honey, spices and banana with ginger becoming dominant. Finishes with bitter spices and alcohol. I’m not getting any pumpkin but still interesting. More a spiced tripel.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
This brew is a clear golden orange color with a medium bone white head that recedes steadily. Sticky rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of malt, pumpkin and nutmeg. Full, smooth body with flavors of roasted malt, pumpkin spices and caramel. More muted pumpkin character than I was expecting all in all. The finish is sweet clove and pumpkin with a malty aftertaste. Above average overall.
