COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
There’s a place just south they call Frog’s Hollow, brewin’ pumpkin ale in Fall, and they only speak in whispers of the name. There’s a lady they say who has the secret, of spices picked just right. With a crying shout, she’ll knock it out, and hand you the Frog’s delight.

9/12/2009: Frog’s Hollow Double Pumpkin Ale... Aroma: Pumpkin syprup (like what is used in lattes, etc.). Appearance: Hazy, deep golden color; smooth carbonation; no head. Flavor: Toasted malts; somewhat sweet; subtle pumpkin pie spices. Palate: Medium-full body; slick. Overall: Pretty good, but doesn’t beat out my favorite pumpkin beer (Southampton Pumpkin Ale). Also, Hoppin’ Frog uses cinnamon, giner, nutmeg, allspice, and clove although I only use cinnamon, ginger, and clove in my favorite pumpkin pie... Sometimes less is more!

22 fl. oz. bottle ( 8.4% alc/vol; 76 OG; 18.4° P; 7.3 IBU) shared by Bigmmartin. Thanks Mike! Rating #22 for this beer.

Bottle thanks to Bigmmartin. Pours a nice amber with a white head. Aroma is nutmeg, cinnamon, a bit of sweet malts, and pumpkin. On the palate, it is a little thick. The flavor brings out a pumpkin pie taste. Not a favorite pumpkin ale, but still pretty decent.

DocLock (7861) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 21, 2009
Copper pour, with nose of pumpkin puree, pumpkin spice. Tastes pretty rich, fairly complex, with a liquid pumpkin pie and even some crusty flavor. Well balanced and refreshing, and the palate heft is on the dense side here. This is a solid pumpkin ale.

Bottle – Shared by ygtbsm94 . Thanks Brad! Amber, creamy white head. Thick cinnamon and pumpkin flesh notes warms to aromatic swirls of nutmeg and allspice. Deep spicy ginger pumpkin flavors round with softer notes of minty clove and touches of vanilla brown sugar. Medium to full bodied, medium carbonation, spiced finish. It’s no Pumpking, but it’s still worthy of your attention…

Bottle Pours a clear orange amber with a thin off white head. The head vanishes rapidly. No lace at all. Aroma is nutmeg spices, cinnamon, and pumpkin. Has a good carbonation. The flavor is spicy pumpkin pie. Mouthfeel is great. Has hints of ginger snap cookies. Has a medium body. The texture is spicy water. A good finish with a bakery like aftertaste. This is a leader in the pumpkin beer catagory.
