COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
There’s a place just south they call Frog’s Hollow, brewin’ pumpkin ale in Fall, and they only speak in whispers of the name. There’s a lady they say who has the secret, of spices picked just right. With a crying shout, she’ll knock it out, and hand you the Frog’s delight.

I am not a pumpkin fan so I try to rate based on style of beer. Bottle share. Small snifter. Poured an orange copper with a thin white head. Really smelled like a pumpkin pie with nutmeg, all spice, and even dough. The taste was similar. It was a little thinner than I thought it would be. Light body. Tasted like it smelled. A little boozy tasting. Finishes with the all spice really coming through.

Tap @ Fermentoren Aarhus. Clear amber, small white head, some lacing. Pumpkin spices, with a nice malty background. Slightly oily mouth feel.

It is an overall mellow pumpkin ale with not a lot of spice, which disappointed me. There was not much to it and taste worse than cheaper options

Draft at Eulogy. Cloudy orange amber pour. Spicy blonde caramel. The standard spices for most pumpkin beers. Not particularly tasting in it any pumpkin itself. I’ve had worse but I’m just not that impressed here.

Bottle thanks to Lukasmh. Pours semi clear orange/amber with a small White head. Aroma is really spiced up with lots of clove and nutmeg, pickled ginger, cinnamon, some sweeter pumpkin notes, jam or winegums. Taste has some of the same acidic sweetness, and more cinnamon. Alcohol well hidden in this. Spicy and sweet. Medium body and carb. Not too bad compared to my hate for pumpkin ales! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Pretty orange with a copper tint. Frothy off-white head. Aroma is very spicy indeed with cinnamon, clove, pickled ginger, winegum, syrup, sweet pumpkin and salt/pepper. Taste is impressively packed with pumpkin sweetness, not at all sticky or sickening. Instead it is fresh and well-rounded with a somewhat heavier cinnamon base. The high abv is nowhere to be found.

Bottle. Pours hazy orange with small off-white head. Aroma is spices. Clove, nutmeg and sweet mellow pumpkin. Slight malty and sharp ginger jam. Taste is sweet pumkin, nutty with dry spicy finish. Nutmeg, cinnamon and clove. Some fresh ginger. Enjoyable! Medium fizzy mouthfeel. Well hidden alcohol.

Bomber. Nice pumpkin aroma. Thin head and not much lace to speak of. Quite boozy. Not really digging this. Kind of a hot mess.

Bottle to goblet After a long, hard day with no true breakfast, lunch or dinner, I’m settling down at 3 am with a home made pumpkin pie with whipped cream and this beer. I hope it’s worth the wait. Perhaps a bit gourdy on the nose, surely pumpkin, and a load of spices; cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, clove and maybe even pepper. There’s a bit of sourness behind it all too. Colour is a lovely translucent amber pumpkin pie with a thin smattering of an off white head. Taste is a bit boozy, lots of pumpkin, and then mostly clove, ginger and cinnamon. It’s a frog’s hollow of a pumpkin beer and made even greater by the pie.
