There’s a place just south they call Frog’s Hollow, brewin’ pumpkin ale in Fall, and they only speak in whispers of the name. There’s a lady they say who has the secret, of spices picked just right. With a crying shout, she’ll knock it out, and hand you the Frog’s delight.

Cloudy orange pour with a pretty big white head. Aroma is ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg. Nice body, smooth mouthfeel. Not much pumpkin flavor, but the atumn notes are there... spicy nutmegesque notes with a peppery finish. The pumpkin is there but it’s towards the back end and gets a bit muddled. Warms you right up though. Good fall beer fo sho.

Bottle split at the Cotteridge Convention, thanks to my wing of a man, 24/01/15. Very lightly hazed golden amber with a decent off white covering. Nose is pumpkin pie, light caramel, nutmeg, mixed spice, candied fruit rinds. Taste comprises more pumpkin pie, fleshy fruits, spicerack, more nutmeg, candied orange peel, vanilla. Medium + body, fine carbonation, sweet licks in the close. Solid pumpkinator.

Bottle at the Cotteridge Convention thanks to The Wingman. It pours clear amber with a small white head. The nose is rich, bitter-sweet, pumpkin, clove rock, juicy pumpkin and spice. The taste is bitter-sweet, juicy, spice, pumpkin pie, some bitterness, gingerbread, earth, clove rock and light alcohol. Medium+ body and moderate carbonation. Well rounded bitter-sweet balance. Took me by surprise this one. Works for me!
