Aroma is very strong spices/cinnamon/nutmeg. The flavor is cinnamon, nutmeg, malts, somewhere between mild and medium sweetness and a mildly hot finish.

Bottle. Pours is a clear dark amber, with an off-white head. Very spicey, tastes similar to wassail, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, candied orange peel, and sweet. Tastes good, but to much spice for a beer, I’m getting tired of these spiced christmas ales.

Lots of cinnamon and nutmeg in this one, a little caramel malt, but it’s well concealed. Appearance is reddish brown with thin tan head. Strong spiced flavor with an alcoholic finish. Palate was medium, sticky and soft. Unpleasant.

Draught at Country Boy. Cinnamon and nutmeg throughout the beer. Caramel to the body. Pretty sweet. Very seasonal.

Brown with little to no white head. Aroma is spices, some nutmeg and cinnamon. Flavor almost tastes like you might think a Christmas tree would taste. A little piney with strong flavors of nutmeg and cinnamon. Very malty with a playful effervescence. It actually reminds me of a pumpkin beer without the pumpkin flavor.

Bomber @ Kaj. Pours clear red mahogany with a nice creamy beige head. Aroma is spicy malty sweet cardamon cinnamon gingerbread. Flavor is too sweet and ginger bread dough; good balance though with malts spices sweetness and bitterness. Finishes spicy sweet bitterish.

Bottle. Pours hazy rust-red with a short lived fizzy beige head. Aroma is dominated by cinnamon, nutmeg, caramel, ginger, syrup, candy, raisins and soap. Taste is moderate sweet and light bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is low. Finishes with cinnamon, citric and bitter nutmeg. A little warming.
