Pours an amber brown with a thin white head. Aroma of spices, ginger, nutmeg etc. taste follows, sweet and really spice forward. Not great.

Minority portion of 22 oz. bottle, consumed on 10-14-14. Presumably this went on sale ahead of Christmas 2013, so it has almost a year of age on it. Malty, highly spice-oriented aroma features scents of cinnamon gum, gumdrops, plum, and cookie. Quite Christmas-y smell. The smell is a bit over the top but it is interesting. Pours a light to medium reddish brown with an orange/red glow and a small amount of beige head. Hazy, opaque liquid. The taste is drier than I expected as well as subtle compared to the aroma. Spicy and malty with flavors of ginger, pepper, and cinnamon chewing gum. Medium body, lighter than I expected given the high ABV. Forgettable palate effects. This is very much a Christmas beer, and I wish I had waited a month or two before opening it to make it more seasonally appropriate. For what it’s worth, I shared this beer with my mother, who, as you may guess, is not particularly into beer, and she liked it quite a bit, to my surprise.

65 cl bottle @ home. Pours hazy dark amber with quite a bit of sediment and an off-white head that leaves some lacing. Aroma and flavour are cinnamon, nutmeg, caramel, sugar, and dried fruit - with a slightly dry finish.

"Howsabout a swift kick o cinnamon and ginger to your olfactory senses? That’s this beer in a nutshell. Nice base beer, smooth body, malty backbone, warming. The spices used were nice, though bordering on being overly aggressive, especially in the nose...but not quite. I enjoyed this, and would get again but wouldn’t go out of my way."

Pours a slightly hazy dark amber with a thick very light tan head. Aroma is cinnamon and nutmeg. Buttery sweet, toasted malt flavor along with some banana bread; caramel and maple syrup as well. Pretty decent holiday seasonal brew, as I enjoy it in August having bought it at 50% off clearance!

(Bottle) Red colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, spicy nose with notes of cinnamon, apple pie, gingerbread cake, orange peel, dried fruit, dried apricots and ginger. Malty, spicy taste with dried fruit, orange peel, cinnamon, ginger, apricots, gingerbread cake and a spicy bitterness in a finish with a touch of alcohol shining through. More than medium body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and very spicy, with lots of cinnamon and ginger. Actually a bit too much spices to be perfectly balanced. Still quite nice.

Pours a dark red with a thin off white head, actually very Holiday. Aroma is sweet cinnamon, nutmeg, reminds me of a sweet spiced Christmas fruit cake. Taste same as aroma with some mild hops bitterness. Palate is a medium body with good carbonation. Finishes with sweet cinnamon, nutmeg, sweet spices of fruit cake, and maybe some brown sugar and a bit of nutty flavor on the end as it warms up. Overall fairly good drink

Pour is very dark red with a small white head. Nice lacing. Aroma is heavy cinnamon, nutmeg, butterscotch, and caramel. Flavor is similar but with added fruit and vanilla extract. Spicy finish.
