The spices can be overpowering for some, but to me this is the bottled essence of christmas

Kind of a syrupy mess with a whole bunch of desert and spice thrown in. Reminds me of a pumpkin beer, but done Christmas style. Lots of cinnamon, clove or nutmeg in this. Tap at Churchkey.

Pretty good. Has a nice holiday taste of nutmeg. Pours a dark brown with a subtle aroma.

Smells like eggnog and sugary molasses cookies. Amber with tan head. Sweet as hell. Like candy. 2012 bottle. Poured from a bottle at Delilahs Christmas tasting.

Bomber poured into glass. Aroma smelled of heavy spice, cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg all present. No head with a darker golden brown pour. I thought the spice notes over powered a bit too much for my liking, would go with other christmas brews, especially for the cost.

Pours an amber brown with a thin white head. Aroma of spices, ginger, nutmeg etc. taste follows, sweet and really spice forward. Not great.

Minority portion of 22 oz. bottle, consumed on 10-14-14. Presumably this went on sale ahead of Christmas 2013, so it has almost a year of age on it. Malty, highly spice-oriented aroma features scents of cinnamon gum, gumdrops, plum, and cookie. Quite Christmas-y smell. The smell is a bit over the top but it is interesting. Pours a light to medium reddish brown with an orange/red glow and a small amount of beige head. Hazy, opaque liquid. The taste is drier than I expected as well as subtle compared to the aroma. Spicy and malty with flavors of ginger, pepper, and cinnamon chewing gum. Medium body, lighter than I expected given the high ABV. Forgettable palate effects. This is very much a Christmas beer, and I wish I had waited a month or two before opening it to make it more seasonally appropriate. For what it’s worth, I shared this beer with my mother, who, as you may guess, is not particularly into beer, and she liked it quite a bit, to my surprise.

65 cl bottle @ home. Pours hazy dark amber with quite a bit of sediment and an off-white head that leaves some lacing. Aroma and flavour are cinnamon, nutmeg, caramel, sugar, and dried fruit - with a slightly dry finish.

"Howsabout a swift kick o cinnamon and ginger to your olfactory senses? That’s this beer in a nutshell. Nice base beer, smooth body, malty backbone, warming. The spices used were nice, though bordering on being overly aggressive, especially in the nose...but not quite. I enjoyed this, and would get again but wouldn’t go out of my way."

Pours a slightly hazy dark amber with a thick very light tan head. Aroma is cinnamon and nutmeg. Buttery sweet, toasted malt flavor along with some banana bread; caramel and maple syrup as well. Pretty decent holiday seasonal brew, as I enjoy it in August having bought it at 50% off clearance!

On draft. Dark amber color with one finger head. Cinnamon aroma. Tastes like cinnamon too. Good beer.
