Courtesy of Alldaydrinker i got to sit down and share a glass with him. It pours a clear amber color with no head at all. Initially there is a strong bubblegum yeast that hits the nose right away followed by an overwelming scent of pear. As i sip on the brew itself it is very smooth and flavorful. You can really taste the pear and apple extracts on the tips and sides of your tounge. The booze is not well hidden at alll, you can really taste it. the finish has a plastic and metalic like finish. Although it is still a great flavorful beer.

Complements of Alldaydrinker. Thanks Jeff! Pours an almost headless, clear orange colour. The aroma initially hits you with an overwhelming assault of Belgian bubble-gum yeast, but later gives of scents of red apples, pear, and thin caramel sweetness. The flavour is similar, with the addition of German malt graininess in the finish; reminiscent of the caramel earthiness of an oktoberfest. There is a slight trans-2-nonenal POF, but it isn’t that offensive. This could be due to storage conditions (most likely). The mouthfeel is medium-bodied and slightly slick. Not a bad Belgian strong, but nothing to rave about either. Eh.

(22oz bottle, thanks LordMaynard) Small off-white head with clear amber body. Aroma is medium sweet, orange/nectarine, some yeast, herb. Taste is moderately sweet, peach/orange, light yeast. Some syrupy stickiness, medium body, low carbonation. Alcohol doesn’t overpower despite the high ABV, but the beer lacks depth.

Courtesy of LordMaynard. Hazy amber body with chunky yeast and a tiny white head. The nose is sweet and fruity with pepper, caramel and light citrus. The flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter with herbal hops, peppery esters, peach, pear and toffee. Medium/full body is round with moderate carbonation.

22oz bottle, courtesy of LordMaynard. Thanks, Russ! Pours a bright honey-orange color with some particulates; thin, off-white head with patchy lacing. Apples, candy sugar, and Belgian yeastiness in the aroma; a bit on the syrupy side, with some spice. Relaxed carbonation. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: tons of Belgian sugar, chewy esters, and a solid yeastiness; solid citrus acidity and a touch of sharp bitterness; lots of flavor, but a bit flabby overall. No show of alcohol, but also reserved overall. Medium finish, showing candy sugar, esters, and a touch of spice.

Bottle. Small fizzy off-white head that mostly diminished, not much lacing, transparent, carbonation observed, and an orange hue. Nose was malty, caramel, semi-sweet, and spicy. Flavor was sweet, malty, caramel, spicy, fruity, vinuous, and a dry finish. Mouthfeel was slightly tingly along with a burning sensation and dry. Medium body. I definitely would drink this beer again as it is quite tasty. It is a sipping beer for sure at 10.5%ABV and at the time of this rating it was just what I needed after a bad ending to my workday. Would be a nice beer to have on hand on a cold winter’s night. Worthy of a try IMO.

Bomber. Pours "gulden" with no head (could be someone used jetdry). Very faint aroma of sweet malt and bready yeast. Sweet upfront and nice hidden hop in the back. Tastes of pineapple, banana, pumpkin spice, slight anise, and cleaning hop presence picks up later in bottle. Nice think mouthfeel becomes a little sticky. Small amount of carbonation, reminds me of drinking apple juice. Alcohol taste is there when searched for. A nice warming feeling reminds me of whiskey, this might be good for a soar throat. Very enjoyable brew, nicely complex flavor. Would have preferred more aroma and slightly less syrupy thickness.

22-oz bottle received from SS ’07, holdenn. Pours hazy amber with a spare, fizzy, white head, diminishing with spare lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (bread, cookie, toffee, nutty), average hops (flowers, herbs, grass), heavy yeast (horse blanket, barnyard, earth) with notes of banana and brown sugar. Full bodied, creamy texture, average carbonation, and a bitter finish. Average duration, heavy sweetness, moderate acidity and bitterness.
