Bottle - (Note: I also sampled this on tap @ the GAMB fest last summer and it was much better.) Pours an opaque orangey color with dencet white head. Aroma typical of Belgians; candi sugar, light citrusy fruits, foralness, sweetness, and alcohol. Taste is the same - it’s got all the right flavors it just needs some more balance and the alcohol needs to be a bit more subtle. If you get the chance to try it on tap - do. blankboy (3263), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Pours a cloudy dark orange with a small diminishing white head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, fruit and light hops. Nice yeasty flavour along with sweet malt, some sugary sweetness, fruit and a decent hoppy finish. Average bodied. Not bad, enjoyable enough. DragonsHead (138), Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania, USA

Nose is yeast, lemon pith, fruit, alcohol, light toffee. Flavor is sweet malt, yeasty fruit, caramel, orange. Way too much sweetness left in this one. jerc (3966), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Orange amber body with a small beige head (3+) Sweet yeasty aroma is Belgian-esque, very light funky floral notes. Similar flavour, sweet with just enough bitterness to keep it drinkable. Light fruit, notes of sugar, hints of tropical fruit. (7+) Average to medium palate. (3+) Simple, but I really enjoyed this one. (7+) At Rudolf’s, shared by Rudolf I believe. tupalev (2618), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 19, 2008 Bottle at Rudy’s tasting May ’08, courtesy of someone very generous, as I stopped writing down who contributed at this point. Dark orange, cloudy, small white head. Fruity and yeasty aroma. More of the same in the taste, only with more candy sugar like sweetness. Simple and enjoyable. SQNfan (591), Wheaton, Illinois, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | May 14, 2008 Copper in color with amber running through, this poured almost zero head. The nose was qutie sweet and candied with aromas of candied orange rind, ripe currant, cotton candy, alcohol and some banana. The palate was thick and oily with sweet flavors like the nose. This lacks carbonation and comes off a bit alcoholic but is smooth. Styles (1653), Lincoln Park, Michigan, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 14, 2008 Courtesy of leopoldstoch. Amber with minimal head, decent lacing. aroma is dominated by fruity esters and alcohol. Some banana, apple and tropical fruit. Flavor much the same, alcohol takes over a tad. Few tweaks and this could be a nice brew.
