Smooth malt Flavors of this Belgian-style abbey ale are complimented by traditional imported ingredients. A slightly spicy and complex flavor makes this European celebration-style beer unique and refreshing.

Thanks to Crizay for this beer. Pours clear orange/auburn with a small off-white head, dissipating to nothing over some time. Oddly clear looking (upon first glass) considering all the haze I saw in the bottle weeks ago. Guess the yeast settled. Aroma is sweet with honey, cinnemon, marmalade, orange-cake, and liquer. Tastes sweet as well with a lot of honey, brown sugar, slight sweet potato flavor, cinnemon, gingerbread, and orange-cake. Finishes sweet and warming, flavor doesn’t really evolve into anything on the finish, it’s just a weaker version of what you just tasted. Viscous on the palate, medium-full bodied, but this glass is lacking a creamy body that a style like this needs. Perhaps the second, more yeasty glass will add some of what this lacks. Still, this beer is in dire need of a substatial finish to help counter the sweet flavors. Reminds me of The Reverend. Could be really good....

Butelka. Barwa ciemno-miedziana z niską, kremową pianą. Aromat rodzynek, suszonych owoców (morele, śliwki), pieprz, zioła, drożdże. W smaku podobnie, suszone owoce, melon, nuty słodowe w postaci lekkiego karmelu z delikatnie rozgrzewającym szlachetnym alkoholowym finiszem. Piwo pełne i treściwe, dobrze zbalansowane. Wysokie wysycenie, z dodatkiem średniej goryczki. Dobrze ukryty alkohol, rozgrzewa przełyk.Super piwo.

Bottle, 22oz, at the taproom. It’s a hazy dark golden to amber colored beer with a small, dense, beige head. The aroma is quite sugary and fruity, with some spiced, peachy hints. Alcohol, raisins, some booze and caramel too. It’s full bodied, warming and nicely carbonated. Semi-sticky. Booze, caramel, dried fruits, peach notes and sugar in the flavor. Some bitterness. Too sweet and boozy, but far from bad anyway. 150616

Bottle from VP CC Vest enjoyed at home
Copper / brown, beige head that falls down quite fast. Smell of marzipan, yeast esters, cherries and raisins, quite fruity, caramel, malts and hints of spices. Heavy sweet, alot of esters, fruity flavors, a little boozy kick, a fantastic malty body which delivers awsome flavors. Spices slides in after a while. Moderate bitter finish. Veyr nice!

Bottled. Pours orangy amber with a small, beige to off-white head. Aroma of caramel, yeast and ripe fruit. Sweet flavor that ends up more dry, with some alcohol and a hint of bitterness. Medium bodied, oily to syrupy texture and soft carbonation. A nice Ale, but not at all as complex as described. 🌟🌟🌟
