22-oz bottle received from SS ’07, holdenn. Pours hazy amber with a spare, fizzy, white head, diminishing with spare lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (bread, cookie, toffee, nutty), average hops (flowers, herbs, grass), heavy yeast (horse blanket, barnyard, earth) with notes of banana and brown sugar. Full bodied, creamy texture, average carbonation, and a bitter finish. Average duration, heavy sweetness, moderate acidity and bitterness.

Clear copper orange pour has a thin ring of wispy white head. Aroma of bready sweet earthy dark caramel malt with a touch of light fruity complexity. Body starts full, sweet and toasty caramely with some bready, black peppery yeasty notes. Exhibits nice balance and good authenticity, while hiding its alcohol pretty well.

A decent smooth drinking Belgian, sweet and full mouthfeel. A whole lot of alcohol, still very drinkable. Nothing especially spicy or tasty.

Bottle from Capone’s. Hazy orangy deep copper pour with minimal head. Aroma of funky malt, hops, yeast, candi sugar, some fruit and spice. Tastes caramel malty, with some funky fruit notes, yeast, cobwebby esters, and some spicy notes.

Bomber thanks to OhioDad! Poured a clear coppery-golden with about nothing going on head-wise. Nose picked up lots of syrupy lighter fruits and candi sugar.. white pepper spiciness.. and a hint of alcohol singing the nose hairs a bit. Flavor was accented by the white pepper all the way... alcohol-fueled lighter fruits and more sweet sugars in there... warm and enjoyable, albeit a little too sweet. Heavy on the palate with a hefty dose of booz as it warmed up. Thanks Scott!

2008-05-17. Orange amber body with a small beige head (3+) Sweet yeasty aroma is Belgian-esque, very light funky floral notes. Similar flavour, sweet with just enough bitterness to keep it drinkable. Light fruit, notes of sugar, hints of tropical fruit. (7+) Average to medium palate. (3+) Simple, but I really enjoyed this one. (7+) At Rudolf’s, shared by Rudolf I believe.

Bottle courtesy of crizay. Pours copper with almost no head. Smells of roses, citrus, lots of sweet malt. Tastes of cherries, booze and has lots of sweetness. This is the first beer I’ve tried from this brewer I found to be disappointing.

Sample at Eurostash III tasting on 01/12/2012: Thanks a bunch to JaBier for snagging a bottle! The beer pours an amber-gold color with a thin white head that dissipates quickly to an outer ring. Spotty lacing on the glass. Fruity, malty aroma with spices in the background. Full-bodied with a ripe fruity character and notes of dark malts, spice and yeast. The finish is fruity with a lingering sweet aftertaste. I had reservations about the probably age on this beer but it held up surprisingly well. Pretty good overall.

Bottle. White fluffy and quickly disappearing head. Hazy amber body. Abricot apple honey aroma. Fruity coriander honey flavor. Low carbonation. Long sweet aftertaste. Astonishingly sweet for such a strong beer.
