9/19/12. 22oz bomber from Grassroots. Very dark brown pour (not quite black) with a small, fluffy tan head that fades to a small ring with some fluff and laces in spotty sheets. Rich roasted (but not too bitter) and milk chocolate aroma with some sugary sweetness hits the nose first, followed by citrus, pine, fresh hops. and even touches of cream. Slightly sweet flavor with cream, chocolate, coffee, and roast hits up front followed by grassy hops, citrus, fresh hop character, and lingering hop and roast. Tasty!

Very dark brown with a tall fluffy light brown head and sticky lacing. Definitely smells like a black IPA some nice roasty malts, sweet hop flowers, a bit of piney resin, some light caramel. Full well coated lightly fluffy palate. Rich roast malt over a nicely bittered piney hop, some light char, a hint of bitter cocoa powder finishes dry. A very nice Black IPA.
