COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
American hops dominate this Rye IPA, creating an assertive citrus and passion fruit character. An old-world flavor from rye malt adds the perfect compliment to Goose Juice’s big, satisfying hop flavor and aroma. Originally home-brewed by our beloved brewer Goose, its wonderful combination of flavors inspired us to brew this specialty IPA.

Bomber poured a clear orange amber with a lasting amber head. Aromas of rye, earthiness, orange zest, pine and grapefruit zest. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of rye, earthiness, grapefruit zest and light pine with a smooth dry bitter lingering earthy grapefruit finish.

22oz bottle on sale for 5.99. Deepish orange-tan body, slightly hazy with a few floaties. Steady, soapy off-white head. Pretty balanced, this is a pretty enjoyable beer. Toasty gingerbread, smooth caramel, orange pine. Medium to full bodied, very easy to drink despite the strength. Really manages the rye well, melding in with the malts quite well. The hops are never biting or bitter, just a steady orange marmalade sweetness, maybe a hint of black pepper. Good beer.

Bottle - Tropical fruit, mandarin and citrus with a big malt backbone. Clear orange with a rich beige head. Medicinal, big bitterness and one sided without any balance or hop flavors coming through.

Wonderful golden copper pour with nice white head. Aroma of malty citrus goodness, taste is rather sharp and medicinal. Doesn’t really work for me maybe I’m not a huge rye IPA guy.

22 oz. bottle, sent from Daniel417 (thanks a lot man), pours an opaque dark amber / mahogany with a medium beige head. Aroma of strong rye, citrus hops, and caramel. Flavour brings out rye notes upfront, caramel notes to balance, and light citrus notes. Quite well-balanced and smooth. Finishes slightly rye-like and semi-sweet. Highly drinkable stuff. Nearly excellent.

A: Golden Straw/Amber Hue, Passes Some Light, White Head Ring, Some Lacing S: Rye, Citrus, Mildly Bready T: Rye, Passion Fruit, Oranges, Mildly Grainy M: Decent Carbonation, Medium Bodied, Mildly Sweet, Mildly Grainy Overall, a really nice balance of rye and sweetness, but after the citrus from the hops, it gets kind of lost. Still good and easy drinking although not a top 5 rye IPA for me.

Pour out of 22 oz bottle, hazy orange pour with white head, aroma brought notes of big orange, grapefruit, juicy pineapple into a nice spicy, grassy, and rye middle, slight caramel comes through. Taste is a mix of rye, orange, grapefruit, nice pineapple into a very spicy, grassy, and more rye in there, slight lemony notes, finishing with some caramel, toffee, pretty bitter. Well done.

The beer pours a hazy golden with a good head and nice lacing on the glass.

The aroma is floral & sort of soapy... some hop fruitiness is there... it’s funny smelling but not bad. It is also a touch on the boozy side.

The flavor is bright, It’s nicely hoppy, with some grassiness and some juicy hop flavor, it’s also a touch grainy.
Not really my thing, but kind of...

650 ml bottle at The Local Pub, Athens. Poured a caramelly amber with a strong head, that stayed maybe a it too long. The aroma was really nice with floral notes, pine, resins and hints caramel from the malts. Taste was pretty much the same with the caramel clinging to pvercome, thus giving a very nice malty bachkbone for the hops, again pine, pineapple, resiny and citrusy notes. The body was medium with nice carbonation too. I would definitely drink this one again.
