American hops dominate this Rye IPA, creating an assertive citrus and passion fruit character. An old-world flavor from rye malt adds the perfect compliment to Goose Juice’s big, satisfying hop flavor and aroma. Originally home-brewed by our beloved brewer Goose, its wonderful combination of flavors inspired us to brew this specialty IPA.

This is a home run from the folks in Akron. Hoppin Frog nailed this one. Goose took his own home brew recipe and put it out here for all of us to enjoy. Lots of Hops with a slight rye backbone. Can’t wait to buy this in stores.

Bottle split with Annie. Pours a cloudy copper color with off white head, small clearish lace. Aroma is funky cheese, rye bread, honey mustard, coconut and papaya. Taste is pure cheese, onions, mango, caramel, vanilla. Garlic breadstick aftertaste. Smooth as can be, balanced perfectly, and quenching. I need more bottles of this asap.

Aroma muy floral y lupulado con algun toque a naranja. En boca empieza muy suave, dejando un retrogusto durarero y bueno.

22 ounce bottle. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours a hazy orange/amber color with about an inch off-white head. The head stays around a while, and there’s also a good amount of lacing. The aroma is pretty nice, the brew smells like citrusy (orange, tropical fruit, grapefruit) hops and spicy rye. The rye aroma seems to get stronger the longer the beer sits. Taste is pretty much the same as the aroma, it tastes like citrusy hops (grapefruit, mango, tropical fruit) and spicy rye. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it’s a bit slick and coating with moderate carbonation. I think this is a very good overall brew, I’d certainly buy it again! $7.99 a bomber.

66cl bomber from Hopduvel, shared with Tomaz.

Pours opaque orange with a large off-white head. Smells spicy with a solid fruity and citrusy aroma. Taste is good, has bitterness and a touch of spice, but not outstanding. Medium-bodied with a smooth texture and average mouth-carbonation, Hoppin’ Frog Hopped-up Goose Juice Rye IPA finishes with a tiny lingering bitterness.

22oz bomber courtesy of BMMillsy. It pours clear copper supporting a nice looking tan head of foam. The aroma offers up spicy hops, a spicy rye bread note, some pine resin and faint sweet citrus hard candy. The taste is smooth and dangerously drinkable. This is balanced with rich yum and resiny bitter pine hops, spicy rye bread, some floral hop bitterness and then a mild citrus hoppiness sweetened by some malts. Below those notes is a pleasing yet modest degree of black tea earthiness. I’m really liking this.
