Bottle at home - club tasting. Cloudy dark amber - white head. High high hoppy, berries, red berries, high bitterness, caramel, rødkål, roasted, cookies, bisquit, medium malty. Not typical american IIPA.... !!!

Bomber purchased at Crown Liquors #15 in Fishers, IN. Pours a deep orange-brown with a creamy, beige head that leaves patchy lace sliding down the glass. Sweet and malty, on the nose, with a nice compliment of floral, lightly citric and piny hop notes. The palate is a bit thinner than I was expecting (the light side of medium-bodied), with a dry, resinous, bitter finish. Sweet and malty up front, the flavor transitions to a bitter, lingering, hoppy finish that mimics the nose. Also present are notes of: apricots, tea and more bright citrus than was found in the nose. This is definitely a tasty beer, but it lacks a bit of the refinement that I enjoy in some other IIPAs. Essentially it just swings too far on the flavor pendulum, for my tastes, from sweet and malty to bitter and resinous. I prefer my IIPAs with a bit more integration in the flavor profile, but I certainly have no regrets about buying this one.

GTMW 2007. Clear dirty orange with a small creamy beige head, decent retention. Aroma of big perfumey hops and caramel. Flavor was much the same with too much perfumey hops to the point of astringency. There was also a fair amount of caramel in there. Dry finish with lingering bitterness. Full body with moderate carbonation. I was not impressed with my sample at the GTMW. However, I had another sample a few weeks ago and it was quite nice--I must find those notes.

Pours a hazy dark amber color with a thin white head. Very good aroma of resinous, citrusy hops. The flavor is very intense, powerfull resinous and citrusy hops take all the place in the mouth leaving strong and lasting bitterness as a souvenir. The body is medium with an oily texture and moderate carbonation.

Fruity with nice hop taste. Tones of a grassy field in late spring. This one brought me home.

This has a really fresh hop flavor, rich and creamy mouthfeel. Delightful to drink, clean and full bodied.
