A very bitter, earthy hop monster. I can understand why they named it "Mean" Manalishi. If you are a true hop head, you should love this beer. Very good beer, just a bit too harsh for me, and I have had some intense hoppy beers.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle at WWT III. Pours hazy orange with a small to medium white head. Aroma has caramel, pine, sweetness, bit oxidized. Taste has quite some pine, caramel, and a bitterness that is a bit on the harsh side. Bit too old and bitter for me, but still quite good.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from Hoppin Frog brewery. Thanks dad! Tulip at home. Pours a very cloudy orange-amber with a thick white head. Head mostly disappears quickly but lacing nice. Serious aroma of tobacco, citrus and malts. The taste is unique, but good. Very hoppy with an almost roasted, tobacco smoky flavor. Well balanced. Bitter, dry, hoppy finish. Medium-heavy body with a carbonated mouth. Unique and good.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bomber poured into snifter. Smells of hops, caramel and toffee. Tastes of sweet caramel and hops offset themselves wonderfully. Great double IPA.

One of the best IPA’s I ever had. Very hoppy, but with a soft caramel touch. The combination is brilliant.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle @ WWT III, courtesy of jmgreenuk. Pours a slightly hazy amber beer with a small white head on top. Aroma of grapefruit, malts and light touches of caramel. Flavour is quite bitter, slight alcoholic giving it some sweet touches. Well balanced between the bitter and sweet flavours. Awesome brew by this brewery.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Poured a hazy medium amber with a thin white head. The aroma is rich big nutty and hoppy. The flavour is strong bitter, rich and with lots of liqourice on the surprisingly smooth palate. A classic DIPA from the Frog. They rarely disappoint.
