9/25/2010. 22 oz. bottle. Pours light amber color with an off white head. Strong floral aromas with pine, citrus. Caramel flavors with plenty of hops. Very nice balance and the alcohol is not overwhelming. Well made.

Heavy hops aroma. The taste is also of course much hops but released soon to become very dry. What I did not like at all. Long aftertaste too. I liked this beer anyway. But it could have been any better. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

Bottle. Pours hazy amber with a ton of small suspended particles. Small white head, dissipates quickly but leaves nice lacing. Aroma is way caramel - this has to be an old bottle, but hey Hoppin’ Frog, put a fucking bottling date on your beers or take what you get! Flavor is stale IPA, caramel, some pine, cardboard, random bitterness. Light sweet, quite bitter with almost no actual flavor nuances to go with it. Yuk. About 21 ounces of this baby was dumped into the hotel room toilet, which seems a fitting end for such an old stale beer.

A very bitter, earthy hop monster. I can understand why they named it "Mean" Manalishi. If you are a true hop head, you should love this beer. Very good beer, just a bit too harsh for me, and I have had some intense hoppy beers. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at WWT III. Pours hazy orange with a small to medium white head. Aroma has caramel, pine, sweetness, bit oxidized. Taste has quite some pine, caramel, and a bitterness that is a bit on the harsh side. Bit too old and bitter for me, but still quite good.

Bottle @ WWT III. Hazy golden orange-ish colour with an off-white head. Nose is hoppy, tropical, a bit ashy. Flavour is light caramel malts, hoppy, tropical, mango and pine. Fairly bitter. Finish is slightly sweet and fairly bitter.

Bottle from Hoppin Frog brewery. Thanks dad! Tulip at home. Pours a very cloudy orange-amber with a thick white head. Head mostly disappears quickly but lacing nice. Serious aroma of tobacco, citrus and malts. The taste is unique, but good. Very hoppy with an almost roasted, tobacco smoky flavor. Well balanced. Bitter, dry, hoppy finish. Medium-heavy body with a carbonated mouth. Unique and good.

Bomber poured into snifter. Smells of hops, caramel and toffee. Tastes of sweet caramel and hops offset themselves wonderfully. Great double IPA.
