Bottle. Body-looks like still iced tea. Taste-tea, caramel, high CO2 even though there doesn’t appear to be any bubbles, light cigar, some smoke.

Deep red, creamy beige head. Smell of caramel, dark fruits, hints of butterscotch, quite alot of malt aromas. Medium to heavy sweet, a touch of smoke, caramel, toffee, nice malt base, quite good and better than the aroma. Moderate bitter finish

Bottle. Pours a clear light brown, looking more amber, dark brown in the glass, A small shortlived tan head. Aroma is fruity and slightly vinous. Taste is malts and a sugary fruityness. Light alcoholic notes and a slight warmth as well. Medium-full body, oily texture and soft to avg co2 levels.

Bottle from Vinmonopolet in Valkendorfsgate, Bergen. Pours a hazy deep red-hued rust brown body with a small off-white head. Nose is caramel, raisins, biscuits, rye and hints of Norwegian brown cheese, grains and deep malty notes. Taste is caramel, rye, raisins, toffee and hints of alcohol, butterscotch and prunes. Full body, medium to high carbonation. Nice, straight-forward scotch ale by Hoppin’ Frog. Enjoyable.

Red color. No bead. Lots of malt in the aroma, with fresh bread. Sweet flavor, tons of sweet malt amd some earthiness character. No complexity but good flavor.

Bottle. Pours a hazy amber with a thin off-white head. Aroma of caramel, toffee, and raisins. Flavor was quite sweet and malty with dark caramel, toffee, raisins and had notes of dark fruit.

22oz bottle 2/19/15 (Courtesy of TerryR)-40° in Mug-Pours a murky copperish amber with a big tan head. Aroma of malt, caramel, toffee, and brown sugar. Taste of the same with some dried fruit coming thru as well. This medium to full bodied brew is well balanced and hits the spot on a cold winter night.
