Dark, robust and silky-smooth, with many flavors of roasted, toasted and caramel malts. Porter is an old-world beer style, so popular that it helped start the industrial revolution. Taste the history.

Bottle: Slightly red-lit brown with a creamy tan head. Light chocolate/cocoa aroma. Cola, chocolate, cream taste..malty.... Carbonated pretty heavily, almost tingly....Very tasty, but not as creamy as the name might suggest.

Tap at CBC 2014. Deep black in the glass, small head. Heavy malty, light salty aroma. Starts heavy malty, quite dry. Bitter background. Finish less intense malty, well balanced. Quite drinkable. Good!

Bottle. Dark brown body with a thin beige head. Aroma of milk chocolate, roasted malt, grain. Taste is sweet with chocolate, caramel, coffee, with a pleasant chocolate cake and coffee finish. A good beer by all accounts, though I find it a bit sweet for my liking.

Draft at Khyber Pass. Opaque dark brown pour with a large frothy tan head. Lots of nice roasted malt flavors. Burnt pecans. Chocolate nibs. Greek coffee. Campfire marshmallows. Devils Food cake. Fuller body than usual for a Porter. Solid, dry and smooth.

Caramelly and malty porter. Pours black with a tan head. Smells caramelly and is easy to drink. Nice caramel finish. Had at local option. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22 ounce bottle into signature pint glass, no bottle dating. Pours nearly pitch black color with a 2 finger dense khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with some moderate streaming carbonation. Aromas of dark chocolate, cocoa, roasted malt, coffee, toast, dark bread, light smoke, light nuttiness, herbal, and roasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malt and light hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of dark chocolate, cocoa, roasted malt, coffee, toast, dark bread, nuttiness, light smoke, herbal, and roasted earthiness. Fair amount of roast/herbal hop bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, roasted malt, toast, dark bread, nuttiness, light smoke, herbal, and roasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity and robustness of dark/roast/bready malt and light hop notes; with a nice roasted bitterness/sweetness balance and no cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, moderately creamy, and lightly chalky/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very good robust porter. All around nice balance, complexity, and robustness of dark/roast/bready malt and light hop flavors; and very smooth to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

On tap at the BeerTemple. Opaque black pour with thin tan foam. Aroma is roasty, coffee, torrefied malt, fruity. Taste is sweet and roasty, lots of coffee and tropical fruit, light roasted malt sourness. Palate is light-med bodied with light-med carbonation, pretty easy drinking, a bit too fruity. Good.
