Pours a nice deep coffee brown with a creamy tan head. Great nose of fresh ground coffee, bittersweet chocolate and toasted malt. Flavor was dominated by coffee, followed with some bitter chocolate. Finished with a good amount of chocolate bitterness, a great porter. MrPickles (108), Wisconsin, USA Oct 11, 2009 22 oz. bottle shared with Madvike. Pours a deep black with little to no head at all. Cream, roast, and chocolate on the nose. Big coffee flavor upfront, but for me the most satisfying aspect of this beer is the finish. Lingering chocolate milk finish. Very smooth and I am a fan of the sweetness,. sfhodense (554), Odense NØ, Denmark Oct 11, 2009 Pours dark brown with a large light brown head. Aroma is roasted malt, cocoa, chocolate, coffee and vanilla. Flavour is roasted malt, coffee and cocolate. Lightly acidic aftertaste. madvike (301), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Oct 9, 2009 22 oz. bottle shared with MrPickles - Pours black with little to no head. Smell is coffee, cinammon, light roast, and a bit of booze. Tastes milky and sour, with a bit of heat and light roast. Kind of blah to be honest...was expecting more. Smooth, sweet, and medium-bodied, it’s a solid beer but nothing more. stobbe74 (655), Denmark Sep 29, 2009 Bottle, 22 fl. oz. Pours a clear dark brown beer with a lightbrown head. The aroma is roasted, licorice, tobacco and coffee. The flavor follows the nose with additional roasted barley. The palate is soft and rounded. Overall a good porter with some acidity from the roasted barley.
