3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma is medium in strength, chocolate, roast, cacao. No burnt.
Flavor has some dark fruit depth with chocolate coffee and roasted barley. Low head retention. Med low carbonation. Slightly dark grain/cacao bitterness that finishes on the sweeter side.
Very slight clarity which brings out a deep red hue in some light. More complexity/specialty grains and this would be much better

mild cocoa note, mild roast note, giving way to intense yeast ester aroma. darkest brown, opaque. crazy foamy head -- seems over-carbonated. light tan head. smooth, sweet, cocoa notes, mild roast notes. med-heavy body. a tart note towards the finish. some bitterness at the end of the finish/aftertaste. starts out smooth and ends a little tangy. pretty good!

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
A delicious porter. Aroma of the candy Rollos. Milk chocolate and caramel. Pour was a nice deep dark brown with a thin tan film for a head. Taste was very full for a 6.2% beer. Deep rich chocolate and caramel are the big flavors with a sweet milky finish. Light on the palate but full of flavor. Nice carbonation rounds this beer out.

Thanks to Strykzone for sending me this bottle. Pours an opaque dark brown with a good sized beige head and lots of lacing rings. Nose is of chocolate roasted malts. Fairly bold body and a smooth creamy mouth feel. Flavor is chocolate first, then coffee. Nice drinking and tasty.
