Dark, robust and silky-smooth, with many flavors of roasted, toasted and caramel malts. Porter is an old-world beer style, so popular that it helped start the industrial revolution. Taste the history.

Aptly named beer. The mouthfeel is one of the best aspects of this already very nice, dark, rich beer. Chocolatey, very roasty, and smooth.

A: Strong aroma. Roasty. Hint of coffee. A touch of acidity. very nice. A: Looks fine. Brown with tan head. Good lacing. T: Very smooth taste. Verrry smooth. Hits with chocolate and roasty coffee. A little watery acidity in the middle. Finish is smooth and chocolatey. P: A little watery. Solid though Overall this is a very good porter. Lots of great roasty chocolate. The watery hit in the middle takes something away but otherwise a great blend of flavors.

Dark brown with a smooth beige head. Nose is dusty coffee, faint anise and bittersweet chocolate. Medium body, surprisingly dry with a fruity tang. Taste is stale coffee, plum, peanut and cocoa powder. Seems faded.

Dark Brown with red tint and tan head. Aroma is light roast malt. Taste is light coffee and chocolate. A bit to sweet for me.

22 oz bottle. Pours a thin dark brown, thin enough to get some ruby accents through the glass. Thin light tan head, fades quickly with no head. The aroma is not really dominated by any particular scent. There is roasted malt, and caramel present, but nothing overwhelmingly front and center. The taste is pretty much the same level of mediocrity. There are hints of caramel and roast, and perhaps a touch of chocolate, and the best part is the mouth feel and the lingering tastes. It's a little thin, bit hangs around nicely. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle purchased locally. This pours a deep brown color that looks black in the glass. A vigorous pour produces a thin-moderate tan head but most of that fades away. First reaction to the aroma is that of chocolate. That’s followed by light soot, oats, and some caramel. Semi-sweet chocolate, lightly toasted grains, and caramel flavors. The chocolate seems to stand out with everything else as complimentary. The sweetness upfront is countered by an ashy character on the backend. A touch thin and basic but still pretty solid.

GCB: Bottle. On quiz night. This is a really nice porter that hits all of the right boxes.

A very smooth and silky roasty porter. Chocolaty with a little coffee and toffee flavor.

Aroma is medium in strength, chocolate, roast, cacao. No burnt. Flavor has some dark fruit depth with chocolate coffee and roasted barley. Low head retention. Med low carbonation. Slightly dark grain/cacao bitterness that finishes on the sweeter side. Very slight clarity which brings out a deep red hue in some light. More complexity/specialty grains and this would be much better
