3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Courtesy of lb4lb. The aroma is very concentrated sweet dark fruits, alcohol, dusty earth, mild chocolate and some kind of spicy hop notes. The body is flat black and holds a thin tan head. The first sip offers, again, very sweet dark fruits like blackberry, cherry and blueberry. There is also ample chocolate, mild roast and the finish is looong and sweet. Decently tasty brew, but sweeter than I expected.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber. Light black malts and a lot of toffee in the nose, underlying yeastiness with caramel on top. Dark chocolate with roast and a little lactose. Near-pitch pour with a creamy, rocky light brown head. Watery body is lightly crisp and certainly dry, fruit (blackberry and currant, some raspberry) mingling with lighter roast and toast. Lightly bitter dark and milk chocolate. Hop prickling on the back end. Nice, balanced porter, smooth and very easy-drinking, but some of the Skittleous flavor components just aren’t for me.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
First, seemed more of a stout than a porter. High amount of roasted coffee notes accompaniedwith the bitterness associated with coffee. The issue that sticks with me is I get no chocolate in this beer and that is what I use to differentiate stouts and porters. Still pours an opaque brown with a medium tan head. Aroma and taste are of bitter roasted malts. One dimensional and becomes boring.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
This bottled brew from Indianapolis, IN poured a small sized head of foamy brown colored fine to large sized mostly lasting bubbles that left behind a nearly opaque dark ruby red brown colored body with no visible carbonation. The aroma was of simple dark malts. The mouth feel was creamy and smooth at the start with a slight tingle from start to finish. The flavor contained notes of dark malt mild chocolate with a hop prescience.

Pour is a black with no head at all. Aroma is a decent coffee with some dark chocolate. Flavor is much of the same but it grew on me the more I drank of it. Lots of roasted dark malt with a nice bakers chocolate and a bit of crips hops. Fairly decent beer and much better at room temp than cold out of the fridge.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle thanks to Davinci?Dark brown with small creamy tan head. Smoky and cocoa with dry roasted malt aroma. Roasted malt is also the most prominent flavor with sweet cocoa, a little cherry and red fruit, smoky, pretty tasty. Medium well carbonated body that is pretty "silky". Another great one from Hoppin Frog.

22 oz. bottle - thanks to fiver29 for the trade; pours dark brown cola and clear along the edges; almost no head and crisp, roasty aromas; nice level of sweetness too; medium body with very slight syrupy texture as it warmed up; some coffee, lots of nuttiness; no surprises or tricks, just a straight up knock down porter
