Dark, robust and silky-smooth, with many flavors of roasted, toasted and caramel malts. Porter is an old-world beer style, so popular that it helped start the industrial revolution. Taste the history.

Courtesy of Sliffy et al in a visit to COlumbus. Pour dark like a porter, smells roasty without being overthe top. Very smooth drinking porter. Drying aftertaste.

Botella. Pitch black colour with a nice creamy light brown well lasting head. Aroma of dark chocolate, nicely roasted malt, bitter hops and some dark fruits. Great mouthfeel. Lovely flavour of mildly bitter dark sweet chocolate with a good roasty maltiness, coffee, dark fruits and a plesant mild bitterness. Long lasting choclate roasty finish. Great tasty brew indeed.

Bottle, bought @ Havnens Vin & Tobak.
Almost completely black - only some very slight red edges. A medium, thick, beige, creamy head. Good duration. Nice coffee aroma with some dark chocolate and light pine-like hops. Medium carbonation, good lightish mouthfeel. Flavour begins quite sweet, lots of nuttiness and dark chocolate. Long lingering coffee finish. It is sad that it is just a tad too sweet at first, only just redeemed by the nice finish.

Filtered through coffee beans Dayton Alefest - This beer was coffee. Dark ruby color with little head. Taste of coffee with hints of chocolate. Smooth and medium bodied. Am interested to try this beer with out the filtering.

This one was better than expected - a nice treat. Pours very dark brown, close to black, with a crimson hue and a nice dark tan head. The aroma is very mocha with heavy chocolate, roasty malt and smooth vanilla woodiness. Medium smooth body that is thick and oily with clean sharp carbonation. The flavor starts with lots of charred malt, bittersweet chocolate, ice cream malt and an overall smoothness. The finish is charred and bitter. A very well constructed porter.

Bottle. High creamy and long lasting light brown head. Pitch black body. Lovely coffee cococoa aroma with notes of roasted malt. Barley malt and cocoa flavor, creamy smooth and round. No hops bitterness. Low carbonation, short aftertaste. Impressive for a beer with such a relatively low alcohol percentage.
