Dark, robust and silky-smooth, with many flavors of roasted, toasted and caramel malts. Porter is an old-world beer style, so popular that it helped start the industrial revolution. Taste the history.

Bottle from unknown via Lawson. Pours an opaque brown/black, little bit of tan head. Aroma roasty, with some grassy, dark chocolate notes, maybe some smoke. Body thin and toasty, with a slightly sweet and nutty finish. Not generally a porter fan, but this is a nice beer.

Bottle: Slightly red-lit brown with a creamy tan head. Light chocolate/cocoa aroma. Cola, chocolate, cream taste..malty.... Carbonated pretty heavily, almost tingly....Very tasty, but not as creamy as the name might suggest.

Tap at CBC 2014. Deep black in the glass, small head. Heavy malty, light salty aroma. Starts heavy malty, quite dry. Bitter background. Finish less intense malty, well balanced. Quite drinkable. Good!
