The release of our Turbo Shandy Citrus Ale is around mid June. Born from European tradition, our Shandy is a refreshing combination of lemon and light malt flavors. Unlike traditional shandys, Turbo Shandy, revs it up a couple of notches with a high test, full flavored approach as only Hoppin’ Frog can do.

Bottle, 7.0%. Distinct lemonade aroma, not like a German Radler, but quite artificial still. Like a mix of piss and cleaning agents. Extremely sweet - must have massive amounts of white sugar. Tastes a lot like water soluble multivitamins. Sweet and lemony with an alcohol finish.

pale yellow , small smooth white head. aroma is perfumey, candy, citrussy, way too artificial. flavor is strong bitter citrussy, macro beer. imperial shandy might not be a good idea after all.

Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of Theis. Pours yellow with a slight haze and a tiny white head. Fresh lemon aroma. Medium body, a little low in carbonation, rather sweet lemon accents - stil fresh though. No real bitterness. Quite decent. 171210

Actually had this beer this past summer and forgot to rate it. Pours cloudy orange with white head. This beer is really overly sweet and just too much. I was pretty disappointed since I like most of their stuff.

Bouteille Couleur est dorée et claire, mousse quasi inexistante, sauf pour quelques bulles en surface. Arôme est dans la plus pure tradition européenne, de bière mélangée avec de la limonade. Note de citrons fraîchement pressés.

Bottle @ Hoppin Frog tasting at De Molen Pakhuis. Aroma has lemon sweetness, some malt in the background. Bit hazy, yellow coloured beer with a thin, white head. The taste is sweet, has lemon, malts. Quite full in taste and alcohol for a shandy. Best shandy I ever had. ;)

Woo! Lemonade and lime aroma with plenty of sweetness going on but not much else. Tart lemon and lime flavor with a definite sweetness to it. The least beer flavored shandy I’ve ever had. The abv is well hidden. Could be perfect given the right situation...
