Can’t believe I haven’t rated this as it is one of my favorite Hoppin Frog beers. Citrusy lemon flavor that is smooth and thirst quenching. No way you could tell it was 7% ABV. Did I mention it was tasty, very tasty! I love it when it’s 90 degrees outside and I’m grillin’. Just sippin’ Turbo Shandy and burnin’ the ’dogs.

Hazy yellow/golden pour thin white head ... aroma is sugary and of lemons and light sweet malts ... ... taste is of tart citrusy lemon, not very carbonated, little bit of abv and sweet malts ... mouthfeel is sugary, tart and mellow ... refreshing for a summer afternoon on the grill, but not much else

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Cant believe I havent rated this yet. This beer is pure schto cooler juicebox from the 80’s-90s. So Rad. Pours cloudy golden yellow, aromas of echto cooler, orange slices, capris sun, lemonade, hops. Taste is sugar lemonade, orange juice, and slimer juicebox. Not my style but this one brought me back.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a clear yellow body with no head. More of a sweet lemon flavor than sour. It’s okay.

Refreshing. Great summer alternative to lemonade. Not sure why all the haters... My wife and I both thought it was quite good... lemon, then maltiness, no hops.

Nice for a hot summer day, but that’s about it.... too damn citrussy and too near to just lemonade.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
22oz bottle. Half-hazy yellow color. Minimal white head. Prominent lemon soda aroma. I guess that’s what a shandy is supposed to taste like, but for me personally, it’s too much. My cider-drinking friend Lindsey loves this stuff, though. Zesty sweet taste. Crisp lighter carbonation, more dry texture. Decent shandy, just not really my thing. 7% is a pleasant surprise, though.

2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
I suppose this tastes like it’s supposed to, but that doesn’t mean it’s good. Smells like furniture polish. All sour lemon on the taste. No thanks.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bomber thanks to 17thfloor. Pours a pale golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is very lemony limey and citric, orange drink notes, a bit of a sharpness. Flavor is much the same, very juicy like a limeade, a touch candhyish. Finishes a bit sweet. Light to medium body and a crisp carbonation. Interesting beer, not sure what a shandy is doing at 7 percent.
