COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The release of our Turbo Shandy Citrus Ale is around mid June. Born from European tradition, our Shandy is a refreshing combination of lemon and light malt flavors. Unlike traditional shandys, Turbo Shandy, revs it up a couple of notches with a high test, full flavored approach as only Hoppin’ Frog can do.

Bomber thanks to 17thfloor. Pours a pale golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is very lemony limey and citric, orange drink notes, a bit of a sharpness. Flavor is much the same, very juicy like a limeade, a touch candhyish. Finishes a bit sweet. Light to medium body and a crisp carbonation. Interesting beer, not sure what a shandy is doing at 7 percent.

Bomber from bittermestupid. Thanks again Greg. Pours light dishwater gold with no meaningful head. The aroma is citrus - going a bit towards 7-Up. Med body. Flavor is very 7-Up, but there’s some additional complexity. The citrus is more rind, and the malt kicks up the sweet. Tho weird for the U.S. it seems almost balanced - the citrus cuts the malt. But this is not hoppy citrus. Just citrus. More Radler than anything? Glad to have tried it.

Tastes like a standard radler but just amped up in the alcohol. A nice one for the summer.

It looks nice enough. Golden and foggy. However it doesnt taste like much more than orange juice. There is a slight, SLIGHT hoppy aftertaste, but its nothing that a bottom shelf beer couldnt boast. Its a decent alternative to low quality/price shandi beers, but its nothing i would write home about. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a hazy pale yellow with a medium white head. Aroma has lemon candy...like a jolly rancher...and some wheaty notes. Tastes like lemon hard candy too...not acidic or tart...more sweet. Mouthfeel is medium and the finish has refreshing lemony citrus.

Bottle to pint. Looks good; light and inviting. Smells moot. Tastes good; definitely the best shandy I’ve ever had. Mouthfeel is good. too. Overall, a great shandy.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy yellow with a thin white head. Aroma is lemon, lime, and not much else. Similar to a sprite. Taste is much the same. I love Hoppin Frog but not this brew.

Poured from a 22 ounce bottle into a weizen glass. Appearance is bright, almost neon yellow with a large white head of foam that dissipates almost immediately. Aroma is a nearly offputting citrus yeast blend that should have given me a heads up to go ahead and pour this down the drain. Taste is like a minute maid lemonade that got dumped into a bag of sugar and then into some hefeweizen. I did end up dumping about half the glass in the yard. It’s just too sweet. Almost sickly sweet.
