Nice hop presence, evened out slightly my the malts. A fairly robust beer for an Amber Ale. Good to the last drop.

~Pours a clear amber color with lasting creamy white head.
~Nice grapefruit hop scent with nice balance of sweet malts.
~Good balance in flavor. Strong hops and malts blend very well together.
~Medium feel, mellow bitter finish.
~No wonder this is their flagship brew. Good!

Creates a heaping amount of froth up top a burnt orange hue. The nose is decorated with mild hops and weak notes of caramel hop. The flavor is a lop sided mixture of caramel malt and bittering westcoast hop that really tips the scale on shock value. Aftertaste is bitter and extremly dry, but overall this is a intimdating amber ale.

Peach.
Odd nose of shoe polish, leather, grapefruit, tangerine and peach. Hoppy, just weird.
Nice n’ hoppy with notes of grapefruit, wood, apricot and peach. Biscuity and caramel malt hold things together quite well. A nice offering.

Bottle, 22oz, courtesy of Papsoe. It’s a clear, dark golden beer with some microfloaties and a beige head of moderate size. Peachy, resiny nose with a nice malty sweetness to balance it. Resiny and bitter flavor with malty sweetness tending towards beefstock. Some alcohol traces. Full-bodied and semi-sweet. Bitter finish where the maltyness is left in the back. Not a top notch beer, but a fine one indeed. 090821

Bomber pours copper with thin tan head. The aroma is a mix of earthy, spicy and roasty where the earthiness and maltiness create a mild oxidation like sensation. The taste is bitter hops forward with spicy hops, pine hop resin and tree sap. Around the edges of the hops are modest notes of roasted malts and faint earthiness. Tasty brew.

Clear amber with a large white head. Hoppy aroma with lemons and pine. Flavour was very hoppy with pine, grapefruit and malt. Finished bitter.

Poured into a Hoppy Brewing shaker glass. Color is sort of a light copper/deep amber with a tan head. Aroma is a lot of sweet cereal and caramel notes from the malts, as well as some floral hops. Palate is medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel. Flavor is mostly resinous hops but is partially balanced by some sweet malty notes in the background. Overall this is a nice take on the traditional IPA.

Bottle thanks to bhensonb: Pours a transparent copper amber with a thin, small-bubbled stringy-lacing white head. Aroma of sweet caramel malt with a good dose of fresh resiny piny hops. Body starts with pleasant fullness and sweet caramel flavor with good grapefruity bittering and flavor hop balance before a crisp bittersweet finish. A pretty good, full-bodied IPA.

Thanks Lord Gorlock! The aroma is raspberries and caramel. The flavor is bitter orange, lemon, and caramel. Its not that complex of a beer but definitley good for the otherwise boring Amber Ale style. This would be a good session beer.
