COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A 50/50 blend of wheat & barley malts fermented with an authentic Bavarian Weizen yeast for traditional banana and clove-like dryness. Hopped with just enough German-style hops to balance the malt and served unfiltered.

"this bavarian style hefe, served with a lemon, has an aroma of yeast and banana. it’s light, clean, and refreshing. maybe lacking in complexity with the abscence of the usual clove aspect, but it was enjoyable enough. "

On tap at the brewery. Pours hazy straw with a white head. Heavy banana oil aroma, like dunking your head into a bag of banana chips. Flavor has that same sweet dried banana note with additional cereal accents.

On tap @ Hoppy Brewing. Cloudy yellow pour with a white head. Served with a lemon. Neat. Banana, lemon, grass, and clove. Some apple, a touch of white pepper, and bread. Flavor is lightly sweet up front. Banana, apple, and bread. Lemon, orange peel, and grass. Kind of bitter for a hefeweizen.

Pours translucent gold with a white head. Aroma has lots of clove. Med body. Flavor is mostly clove with some banana ester. A strongly flavored hefe - which finishes dry. I think the use of barley helps!

Sample at the brewpub. The beer is a hazy yellow-gold color with a medium thin white head that dissipates quickly to an outer ring. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of banana and wheat. Light body with flavors of sweet malt, bananas and slight hops. The finish is short and wheaty. Slightly above average overall.

Aroma is banana and clove, tangy. Appearance is hazy golden brown. Taste is a pleasant banana and clove wheat, hint of citrus. Palate is medium with nice depth. Enjoy the flavors well after the drink. Overall a very nice German Hefe. One of the few beers I have had from this brewer that isnt a cluster-f.
