Bottle. Dark orange pour with thin off-white film on top. Aroma of cinnamon, banana-nut bread, and some sweet malt. The flavor is similar, pretty vegetable-like, with some bitterning hops in the finish. Somewhat a strange concoction of flavors.

Bottle from Hi Time Cellars, xmas 07. Nice amber-straw color, white head that hangs in. Aroma is sweet malt and light spicy that hints of xmas loaf. Flavor is sweet crystal malty with a good balance spice, finishes bitter and clean. A decent beer, not much else to say.

22oz bottle from Bevmo Carmel Mountain. I was a lot more into this beer than I thought Iíd be. Had a great spicy, sweet nose. On the pallet I found hints of habanero, banana, and other random fruits.

Bottle. Not a fan of spiced beers and especially not a fan of this beer. 2 sips and then down the drain.

UPDATED: DEC 17, 2007 22 oz bottle from Holiday Wine Cellar: Clear amber color with a small off-white head. Aroma of pumpkin pie spices. Flavor starts with some nutmeg and clove followed by a touch of cinnamon with a light citrus bitterness in the finish. Medium body is smooth with moderate carbonation. This spice thing ainít my thing.

22 oz bottle from Holiday Wine Cellar. Upon the pouring of this ale, I noticed an immediate aroma of spices and minor notes of hops. The flavor follows along the same lines as the aroma with a delicious serving of spices and hint of nutmeg backed by a moderate serving of hops. Even the appearance was attractive with a delicate fluffy layer of foam for a head paired with a orange color of liquid. I really liked this Christmas offering from Hoppy Brewing and I plan on picking up more around the holidays.

650 ml bottle from La Bodega. Clear orange amber with a fizzy white head. Sweet spice and hoppy aroma. Tastes like an IPA with dominant nutmeg and cloves in the flavor. Itís an interesting taste, but Iím not sure if it works. That said, itís worth a try.

Saw this on sale at Bevmo and thought, "what the hell". Havenít had too many things from this brewery. This wasnít bad. Heavily spiced, which is not my thing, but this works pretty well. Lots of corriander, allspice and maybe even some ginger. Reminds me of 2007 Vertical epic if it was dry hopped with some citrusy hops. Pretty good.
