COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hoppys gift to those you like their beers malty. Dark Caramel and chocolate malts lend their deep crimson silkiness, and judicious additions of Nugget and Cascade hops give just enough bitterness for balance.

Pours redish brown. Aroma is slight carmel but u can smell the hops and know its not going to be the traditional red. Flavor is pretty balanced. But to me it tasted a little watered down.

Bottle, this ale had a clear dark red (candy apple) pour and made a one and a half finger light tan colored that receded to a thin cover and sticky ring, the glass had a medium flowing stream of bubbles, and it left spots and small fingers of lacing on the glass, there was a layer of medium brown sediment on the bottom of the bottle, this ale had aromas of toasted malt, chocolate, caramel, light hops, there was a light caramel and malt sweetness, and it had flavors of toasted malt, caramel, and some chocolate, same caramel and malt sweetness as the nose, the finish had a light bitterness, this drink had a thin mouth feel with a little creaminess, it had average to lively carbonation, a nice drink.
