May 15, 2008 Dark brown. Light chocolate aroma with a hint of fudge. Somewhat thin body with roast and chocolate. Vague nuttiness. Quick finish. I’d like a bit more residual sugar to round out the body and bring some of the roastier, more chocolatey notes to the fore.

Nov 16, 2004 Cola black body topped by creamy tan head that leaves nice lacing. Aroma is medium sweet, coffee, berry, light nutty, light smoky. Taste is smoky, coffee, light fruit. Finish is strongly smoky, of the rauchbier variety. Creamy medium body.

May 5, 2004 Pours a nearly opaque black with a thick puffy light tan head. Aroma of slightly burnt roasted malt. Body starts light and efferescent with a mild caramel sweetness and hint of molasses. Finishes dry, hoppy and bitter, with a lingering roastiness. A decent porter, but a bit too much carbonation.
