Clear amber body with a stable, medium white head. Aroma is malty: caramel, some toffee with a hints of grassy hops. Taste is pretty the same: caramel-sweet, a bit fruity, then comes the hop in the end. Medium body, soft carbonation

Nice frothy head. Immediate sulfur aroma. First Bernstein style, so not sure if the style is supposed to have a bit of sulfur in it. Would consider it a Vienna style. Unfiltered and hazy. Little to no hop bitterness. No hop aroma. Lemongrass undertone with a slight biscuit and sweet base malt flavor. leaves a nice coat after drinking.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a hazed orange-gold colored body with an inch thick, dense and frothy, white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is lightly sweetened and a bit grainy with a few floral fruits and a touch of grass. Flavor is similar. Maybe a touch of caramel alongside a somewhat grainy pale malt backing, some floral fruits, and a light grassy bitterness throughout. Finishes clean and dry before leaving a medium length aftertaste. Light, smooth body and a crisp, moderate carbonation. Overall, a pretty nice beer. Crisp, clean, and easy drinking with a straightforward, but solid flavor. Good one.

The head is ok, the body amber. It smells sweet-fruity and flowery. The taste is full bodied, aromatic, malty, amber, less hoppy. Overall ok. 12/11/11/11/-/11

Tap. A lightly hazy orange with a nitro-like off-white head. Some nice sourish notes that remind of certain English light stouts, and juicy hops, as usual. Watery body, lightly bittersweet, but quenching and yummy!

JanLaursen (3140) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - OCT 22, 2011
Draught at Hops & Barley, Berlin: Clear range red beer with a foamy lasting off white head. Nicely balanced aroma with notes of caramel, herbs and fresh red fruits. The taste is round, smooth and fruity-malty with a well-integrated dry herbal bitterness and a long finish. Average carbonate, medium full-bodied.
