Lovely cloudy dark orange golden color with a thick off white head that leaves a solid lacing down the sides of the glass. Wheat, clove and banana in the aroma. Medium (+) body and a fine carbonation. Mellow nice sweetness. Typical and nice hefe flavor like wheat, some yeast, clove and banana. Nice tasty stuff.
[On tap at Hops & Barley in Berlin, Germany]

Stark hefiger Antrunk mit deutlichem Bananenaroma. Wenig bitter, mildes helles Getreide. Die Bananigkeit steigt sogar noch etwas, zum Ende etwas trocken. Insgesamt gut. 11/9/11/11//11

A decent hefe weizen beer, not as good as expected for a micro-brewery... ...

Draught at the brewpub on 20th Jan 2014, one of four beers (and a cider) on tap that day. Cloudy orange body with a large white head that fell away swiftly. Good aromas, the typical banana and vanilla smells I like to find in my Weizenbier. There were also yeast and cinnamon hints within the nose, very pleasant. The taste was again those usual flavours a fine Weizen gives you: vanilla, banana and yeasty. This is a bit sweeter than most I’ve tried (I’m no expert on the style) and that suited my taste buds nicely. Body was full and well carbonated, in fact the beer was just about right in every way.

Draft @ Hops and Barley, Berlin.

Draught @ Hops & Barley, Berlin. Pours a murky hazy brown colour with a whitre head. Aroma of sweet malts, wheat, caramel and grass. Flavour is very fruity and wheaty with some banana notes and bread. Medium bodied, slick mouthfeel and soft carbonation. Finishes sweet and malty. Good.

(Draught in Brewpub, sample) Hazy, untransparent, golden color. White, big, medium fast falling head, minimal lacing. High carbonation, light body, oily texture. Aroma: Strong banana notes, medium strong aroma of cloves, light yeasty. Taste: Moderate sweet but crisp, banana, soft notes of clove, medium long banana finish. Good weizen, without faults, but a bit borring. German classic.

Hazy golden blond. Well retained head. Very soft and smooth with flavours of caramelised bananas and yeast.
