Can thanks to Bgthang pours light brown with a thin off white head. Aroma is toast and nutty malts. Very hearty with big bread and toasted almonds in the flavor. I like the finish with grassy hops ending dry. Good stuff.

Draft at the brewery, reddish brown color, light beige head. The smell is very grainy, bread, dough, and ok. The taste is slight sweetness, grain, sweet chocolate, and ok.

Deep amber, off white head that explodes into the glass but then disappears. Medium body with a malty ale sweetness in the middle. Hops pop back up at the end to dry the finish out some. Nice beer.

Amber in color with an off-white head and nice lacing. The flavor somewhat funky (creosol) but would drink again. The mouthfeel is medium and bit hoppy/ bitter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at the Whip In during the RateBeer Winter Gathering. This is my first beer from this brewery. The beer pours a brownish color with a beige head. The aroma is very malty with a lot of caramel and toffee notes. The flavor is more of the same. There is a lot of brown sugar, caramel and toffee, as well as a little bit of nuttyness. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Straightforward, but enjoyable.

Sample bottle. Pours a dark red-brown with a really pretty cream head with just a tinge of russet. Nose is fruity, but not overly so -- more in a berry or stone fruit than dark or dried fruit, with an underlying element of toast. Smoky and dark on the tongue, with a savory and bitter finish; very clean, very nice. I have great hopes for this brewery after tasting this. Stellar.
