Can at Bruce’s 30th celebrations, 08/02/13, thanks to Peter (the) for sharing this one ! Lightly hazed mid amber with a decent sized frothy white head. Nose carries pale malts, hops, pine, citrus, grapefruit - fresh and vibrant! Taste comprises pine, hops, lightly bitter grapefruits, citrus, orange pith. Medium bodied with soft carbonation with some bitterness in the dryish finish. Decent!

Nice looking, clear and reddish-tan with a pretty good head and some flecks of lace. Aroma is nice too, good and hoppy, a little fruity, pine and resin. Tastes nice, hops are plentiful, with resinous hop oils noted, some citrus and pine, plus an amply malty base with a sweet note to make this a full but quite drinkable pale ale. Body is medium, carbonation is medium, overall it’s a pretty strong tasting, strong finishing pale ale, giving the illusion of being a bigger beer than it really is. I like it. I took a chance on a six pack and I will certainly enjoy the other five. Would buy again.

This is a better than average pale ale. Not particularly balanced, but its hop heavy, slightly astringent profile is decent.

Golden body, stable frothy head. Mix of modern and classic hops, more floral and fragrant. Very drinkable, bitter yet not sharp. Very decent pale ale modern style, nice light alcohol warmth. (On tap at Craft Pride)

Huge floral, grassy bouquet. Easy drinking, high aromatic epintensity without huge butter notes on the back end. This is what I lie an IPA to be. Huge aroma. Don’t know if I would class this as a pale ale though. Plus, it’s in a can!

This is a great ale for the style: well-hopped, light, refreshing, sweet, and it has a great body. It pours a dark orange, almost light amber color with an off-white head. In appearance, exactly what you’d expect of a pale ale. Its aroma is of a slightly piney, almost wet oak hop, joined with a low-lovibond crystal malt. Its body is almost creamy, but just enough to keep it from seeming like a weak beer. This, combined with its somewhat generous amount of crystal malts, makes this seem at times like a well-hopped amber ale. It finishes smooth and leaves a spicy, slightly piney effect on the tongue. Very nice, and although well-flavored, still very tame and smooth on the palate. Nice, and great in the heat.
