UPDATED: JAN 9, 2014 Can: very muddled rustic amber color with a nice sized, chunky off white head that lasts forever as a mild skin & collar. Aroma is mildly spicy hops, grain, some lightly baked bread, a faint bit of citrus/lemon, yeast, & faint metallic notes. Taste has lots of lightly sweet cereal grains & baked bread, good amount of lemon-lime, orange rind, fresh grapefruit flesh, slight musty & leafy hop notes with a spicy, almost Saaz-like character. Finish of mild lemon & orange, bready grains, & musty hops. Very nice lager... Could crush this.

Can:   Straw, a little dusty/dirty, and fiery, thin white frothy head, spotty lacing.   Very soft and sweet straw/hay, a touch doughy, smidgen of breadiness.   Soft mealy and bready start, hay and straw on the backside.   Heavier than most Pale Lagers, and less grassy.   Fairly clean.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Perhaps a touch chewy.   Sweet hay and straw on the finish.   Not a fan of Pale Lagers, but this was pretty clean and a touch bigger than most.   Thanks Bill!

Admittedly I don’t very often care for any kind of lagers. The taste just simply isn’t my thing. So that being said, keep that in mind. However, I think this is a ridiculously good beer. Way more worthy than the over all score currently. Beautiful hoppy aroma, but definitely not over the top. Crisp, Refreshing, but not bitter. I could see myself drinking the hell out of this during the hot summers. Great Job H&G!

Clear pale golden with a thin white cap head. The nose is a little biscuity but very leafy/grassy, like a craft pilsner. Tastes the same, though with a slight citrus kick. Very lovely and complex.

Smell is perfumy hops. Fruity and bright. Taste is smooth and refreshing and hoppy but only lightly bittered. Still hoppy for the style. Easy drinking and flavorful. Very good.

12oz can 11/13/13 (Whole Foods-Lamar)-Pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma of hops, bread, and malt. Taste of the same with a bit more hops. This light bodied brew is pretty darn tasty.

Got in a trade with Cyde. 12 ounce can into lager glass; no canning date, but should be pretty fresh. Pours lightly hazy golden amber color with a 1 finger fairly dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tangerine, lemon zest, peach, mango, pineapple, floral, grass, bread, light caramel, and floral/yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good complexity and balance of hop, malt, and yeast notes; with good strength. Taste of tangerine, grapefruit, lemon zest, peach, mango, pineapple, bread, light caramel, floral, grass, and floral/yeast earthiness. Light floral bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, pineapple, peach, mango, bread, light caramel, floral, grass, and floral earthiness on finish. Very nice complexity of citrus/tropical hop flavors with balanced malt sweetness; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth and lightly crisp mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice hoppy pale lager style. Nice complexity and balance of hop and malt flavors; and very smooth to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

I really like this. It's an easy drinker that's crisp, lite a little dry and slightly hoppy. Wish I could get this in Dallas. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
