3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask conditioned at Merton Winter Beer Fest ’11 with Fin & Hughie. Gold with white head. Dry and bitter, but with a dryish, fruity, slightly plasticy note, I also noted ash at the time. There is a honeyed note with it too. The hop is well represented in the close. it’s fine.

Very pungent fruity hops. Simple body, lots of light grains. Some wooly bitterness build up and leaves a tingly finish. Decent golden ale.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Cask (handpump) at the Kings Arms, Norwich on 1 December 2011. Noted at 4.2% but that might have just been an error on my part. Gold in colour with a slight haze. A solid golden ale with a fairly weighty biscuit malt presence to back up the citric hops. Quite dry, if not that zesty, on the palate. Pleasant enough but not one of Hopshackle’s more imposing beers.
