Clear very dark red - brown beer. Small tan head. Smooth palate. Nicely balanced porter. Dark malt which is mild and neither bitter or roasty. Mild tang and a good dose of lactose sweetness. Finishes semi crisp. Really nice light porter - could session this, and not come across too many porters like that!

Quoth Phil: Black, small tight tan head. Roasty aroma, some nice esters come of that. Excellent roasty porter. Full and smooth in the mouth. Dry roasty finish. Classic stout porter, love the roastiness, can you tell.
Quoth Anna: Old woody tastes. Red-brown, loose head. Woody, almost smoky aroma. Full taste, rich roast in finish. Tastes nice.

Hand pulled at the Wellington, Birmingham. Looks, smells like a Porter should. Nice, ashy, consistent flavour. No more comments in my notepad, but it seems like I enjoyed this, based on the scores.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Dark brown pour with a reddish tint and a tan head which soon vanishes. Light coffee aromas with hints of caramel, dark chocolate, raisins and cinnamon. Flavours of cream, caramel and coffee. Has a wood aged feel to it. Bitter-sweet mouthfeel. Sweet, malty finish. Tasty.
