COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A hybrid beer based on a dry stout recipe but hopped like an IPA. This beer is black in colour and tastes of roasted malts, citrus and tropical fruits.

Gravity, Leicester BF 2013, 21/03/13. Vanilla-capped mahogany. Chargrilled bell pepper and chocolate aroma. Soft pepper and chocolate; milky cafetiere dabs. Smooth condition. Nice.

Cask, Leicester Fest 13. Very dark brown with a bubbly foam. Aromas are roast malts with cocoa husk and low floral pine. Nutty with woody notes and earthy smokiness. Flavours are dry with earthy roast coffee and cocoa nibs. Underlying sweet chocolate with light berry fruitiness. Tasty for it’s strength.

Opaque brown, nice head, in good condition. Dark hoppy aroma. Full body, fairly grainy stuff going on here. Tastes liek a dark full bitter. Well balanaced. Feels in some ways strong, perhaps that’s the wrong word, as it’s like a session beer also. A beer that attracts your attention, rather than "strong", perhaps.
