In the bomber bottle from HyVee CB. Pours a cloudy, yeast chunky deep overnight pee gold. Has an incredibly thick as a brick white concrete head. This has a very solid yeasty and bready aroma. I really love this beer because it tastes just like many homebrewed golden ales that I have made. It is thick and has lots of lemon-yeast flavors at the finish. Plenty of hop presence without seeming bitter at all. Just a great homestyle beer.

Bomber from Bottle Barn; Nose of sweetpeas; very floral and sweet; lightly hazed gold with a huge white head; flavor of light hop bitterness, and some lemony citrus.

Hazy straw color, tons of sediment kicked up in the bottom of the bottle, a little of which made it into the glass. Very carbonated, producing a massive, yet short-lived head. Lightly perfumey grainy aroma, a little bit of lemon essence; moderate yeast presence. Fairly sweet opening, segueing to a somewhat flabby grainy body, more sweetness, more lemon and perfume. Pretty clean finish, light yet prickly hoppiness. A little low on the hops for my tastes - I like this beers pretty dry with some refresing bitterness. Very sharp carbonation, which I actually like here, but it’s still a bit too much. I keep thinking I shouldn’t like this style, but yet I do.

22 oz bottle given to me by heermer77. Thanks Eric. The bottle said 5% AbV. Served at cellar temperature. There was some nice yeast sediment at the bottom of the bottle. Poured a hazy golden color. Head was rocky and white with pretty good retention. Aroma was mostly of cereal grain and light citrusy hops. There was also a whiff of caramel. Dry and effervescent on the tongue with carbonation on the higher end of the spectrum. The flavor was dominated by bitter citrusy hops without much of a malt backbone (other than some light cereal grain). The bitterness peaked at about 6 out of 10. Overall, this one was light and easy to drink.

Bottle from Johncy’s in North Liberty, IA. Cloudy gold body with a bright white head. I smelled soap, watermelon and some light grapefruit in this one. The taste has light hints of grapefruit rind with some roasted peanut shells. There are also some strange notes of pears and black pepper spice in the finish. This is a brew that seems to me to be halfway between an amber and a Belgian Golden strong ale.
