COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
HopTown IPA, our flagship beer, has a rich, malty character, an alcohol content of 6.2% and a generous helping of hops (almost two pounds per barrel!). We use Galena hops for bittering and Cascade and Centennial hops for the finish and for dry hopping.

Copper color with light head and some lacing. Nose of ginger, light pine and grassy citrus hops, light malt. A bit of watery flavor, more swaying towards a california pale ale. The finish is balanced though and it’s a good drink.

Bottle poured a clear copper with an amber head. Aromas of pine, citrus and carmel. Palate is smooth, dry, and somewhat resiny. Flavors of pine, carmel, and a bit of citrus with a dry bitter finish.

Pours a light amber orange color with small creamy off white head. Aroma is a bit musty and slightly malty, with some herbal/citrusy hoppiness from the cascades. Flavor has notes of caramel and orange, with a moderate astringent/catty bitterness in the finish. An average IPA.

UPDATED: SEP 8, 2008 Pours clear amber with a thick, creamy head. Aroma is mainly of malt supported by nice hops aromatics. Light malt flavors with good hops bitterness that fades quickly. A bit of a thin, watery mouth feel with almost no finish.

SD real ale festival. Pours a hazy orange with a creamy white head. Oxidized cheesiness and pine in the aroma. Lots of grapefruit and yeasty esters. Med. bodied. Tasty but lacks a profound bitterness.

THis brew poors a deep dark orange color with a lasting head. The cascade hops come through most prominent. There is slight malt flavor, but nose and aftertaste reflects the hops most. A good IPA worth tasting.

Poured caramel color with a thick head and lacing. Aroma and flavor are strong hops and caramel with a heavy, bitter hops finish. Good stuff!

IslandHaole (1053) - Yokosuka-Shi, Kanagawa-Ken, JAPAN - JUN 14, 2005
Amber colored with big beige head. Tangy citrus with Pine resin, good maltiness as well, not just hop juice. This is a nice small town brewery putting out some great beer!
