COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
HopTown IPA, our flagship beer, has a rich, malty character, an alcohol content of 6.2% and a generous helping of hops (almost two pounds per barrel!). We use Galena hops for bittering and Cascade and Centennial hops for the finish and for dry hopping.

Pours a deep copper color with thick, dense head. Aroma is great- nice potent fresh citrus and a bit of pine. I was a bit disappointed though, the flavor wasn’t all that I was expecting. The hops were definitely there but the body was a bit a bit thin and the aftertaste was a bit gritty. I think this is because there wasn’t enough malt to back the hops. This beer has so much potential but ends up being mediocre.

pours a bright gold/amber (I left the yeast at the bottom of th bottle). nose is citric/pine at the start, with the butterscotch-like smell of diacetyl right behind it. flavor is initially hoppy, but again the butterscotch comes through and muddies it up. beer drink rather thick, due to the diacetyl flavor that gets heavier as the beer warms. I presume this is an off sample, and I will re-rate it if I get a chance to try it again.

Musty orange, gasoline and shampoo. Flavor is big soapy hop leaf and rotten orange... quite strange. Moderately acidic, tingling the tongue with a yeast bite throughout the drink. Not a fan.

Nice amber color, small off white head that had a decent hangtime then faded to a slight lace.Nice hop, grapefruit aroma with a slight pine note coming through as well.I really love this stuff, nice smooth feel, light malt and hops with a nice grapefruit side.Theres a slight sweet side to it in the beginning that changes over to a bitter sweet then to medium bitter in the end.During the entire tasting it stays very smooth and easy to drink, and never seems to get overpowering at any point.Very nice brew and Thanks go to Flipbrewer for sending this fine Bomber my way.

Hazy amber in color with an off-white head. Aroma is earthy and citrusy at the same time. The flavor is slightly citrus with a grassy hop flavor that go well together. Not the typical California IPA overloaded with citrus hops. Decent bittering but not overpowering.

bold aggressive and pretty tasty all in all. dark red color with a little white head. smell is hoppy, grassy and fruity smelling. almost no carbonation in my bottle. taste is bitter, pleasing and somewhat grassy on the finish. a pretty good ipa that was recommended to me by the guy at hitime. not bad, i enjoyed it.

Fresh floral and light spruce aroma - quite clean and refreshing. Light, off white, but spongy head on a dark orange pour. Pleasant, thick mouthfeel. Tart, grapefruity citrusy hoppy flavor. Malt makes a quick presence in the form of a little bit of back end nutty flavor - but overall the flavor leans more to the hoppy end. Not overbearing, but wakes your tastebuds up nonetheless. Good represntative of a California IPA.

Orange amber with a very open light head. The aroma is citrus but with a nice balancing malt. It is sharp and astringent and the grapefruit and pine bitterness from the hops in quite plesant. As the hops start to fade a hint of malt appears making this a nice fresh beer. Thanks to mardermax.
