22oz bomber via trade with alanC - Thanks Alan! - Pours a deep amber color with a beautiful offwhite head that stays well and laces beautifully. Aroma is pure hops.. Grapefruit and pine, a bit of malt makes it’s way through but it is mostly hop aroma over this one. Flavor is nice sweet caramel malt blended very well with the grapefruit c-hop flavor. A nice somewhat dry bitter finish ends each sip. Pretty nice IPA
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 zug4abby (287) - Capistrano Beach, California, USA - OCT 4, 2005
pours a golden orange color with a decent head and very little lacing. The aroma is fairly weak with mild hints of citrus and hops. The flavor is pretty much the same, with not a whole lot to it. Good tasting beer, but doesn’t pack any sort of punch at all... I want more hops in this beer!

Hazy amber, 3/4" loose head. Citrus caramel. I also get a hint of fish(?). Thin in body. Somewhat rough bitterness. Decent pine and grapefruit hop flavors. The finish is a little dirty.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 argo0 (9034) - Washington DC, USA - SEP 18, 2005
(nitro, Barclays) Off-white head atop clear golden body. Aroma is medium sweet, grapefruit, pine. Taste is medium sweet, grapefruit, pineapple. Creamy light-medium body with resin, no carbonation. Not sure I have had an IPA on nitro before, and I cannot say this experience makes me feel that I have been missing something.

Bottle acquired in trade with DarkElf (thanks!). Poured a dark amber color with an averaged sized tan head. Aromas and tastes of grapefruit, pine and light caramel. Medium bitter with a lightly sweet balance to it. Enjoyable.

Pourede a hazy, reddish amber color with a small, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of resiny pine, citrus malt, tons of C hops. Light sweetness balanced by bitter grapefruit... citrus hops, and light alcohol with a bitter dry finish. Real decent IPA here.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 chilehead (186) - Laguna Niguel, California, USA - AUG 22, 2005
Bitter hoppyness with a distinct roasty flavor and pine notes. I had it from the tap, there was little to no head. Nutty amber color.
