COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our full-bodied red ale called Paint The Town Red. It joins our IPA as a beer that we’ll always produce. It is quite hoppy (what else?) and gets its flavor from generous additions of Cascade hops and crystal malts.

22oz bottle (pulled from the back of my beer fridge!). Poured a deeper and amber color with a small sized off white head. Aromas of caramel and citrus. Tastes of caramel, ctirus, and some toasty / earthiness.

( 22oz bottle thanks to ericandersnavy) Pours nice cloudy dark orange with good head and lacing. Nose of caramel, fruit, and hops. Taste of grapefruit hops, honey, unsweetened malt. Finishes with a nice linger and appropriate body for the style.

Thanks ericandersnavy. Smells a little like honey with alcohol. Weak flavor. A little acid on the sides of the tongue. Faint hoppy aftertaste that lingers.

Bottle courtesy of ericandersnavy. Cloudy orange pour. Some sediment but not much. Smells of sweet bread and yeast. Hidden hops are masked well. Taste is slightly dry with an easy hop kiss. Finish dries out pretty quickly and leaves little sweetness.

UPDATED: JAN 16, 2009 nose of sweet malts yet almost astringent and even slightly rotten. some aroma notes of near citrus, something a bit acidic. color is a very murky dark amber. flavor is malty but still balanced, hops are not pronounced but do well to maintain equilbirum, not an easy task for a beer this riddled with malt. mouthfeel is slightly syrupy yet not coating.

Marginal amber ale. Amber red color with off-white head. Funky malt flavor, caramel, and metallic hops. Fairly thin. Not that good.

This has an absolutely wonderful aroma. Sweet caramel with sugar. Definitely hoppy for an amber ale, but has quite a bit of malt too. A little thin at times. Overall pretty tasty.
