This mythological beer emerges from the depths of our brewery every winter. Made with Cascade, Centennial and Simcoe hops and six organic malts, “A-Bomb” has a complex floral, spicy and citrus hoppiness backed up by just the right amount of malt sweetness. 7.3% ABV, 17 deg. Plato, 70 IBU.

Set the glass, opened the can, poured the beer. A hazy apricot colored liquid came dancing out of the can, the foam reserved at first, but finally an attempt to take shape. It tried, but it was just not working. Small and reserved, the head finally decided on a light but consistent cover for the surface of the brew in the glass. HUGE hops burst out of the flume as I poured this, and I flash back to the flavor in the air whist hand picking numerous pounds of Cascade hops, early last September. Unbelievable pine resin in the aroma with a gigantic malt presence in the taste and a flavor that evens everything out and makes you think you’re only having a beer. The palate is comfortably dry, with a slightly thick and sticky texture. The carbonation is a little flat for my taste, and the finish slightly longer than I would like, but with that much hops on the taster, how do you mute it quickly? Not a bad brew, the aroma is "hops cone" out of this world, and am glad that the actual flavor is not spot on with it, otherwise the bitterness would be appalling. The presentation is all flavor and aroma, the appearance lightweight and the palate a little heavy, but the experience is amazing. The hops have never been so forward in a beer for me and I suggest that folks try it if only for that...

Can. Orange pour with tan head. Herbal and grassy, some warmth. On the aromas. Herbal and citrus, some grassy hop flavors, not as warm as aromas would say.

Many winter seasons have passed and I’ve never tried this beer. It ends tonight. It was a hoppy winter ale, nothing special, so I don’t regret waiting all this time.

16 oz can. Aroma: malty and piney, with hints of caramel and biscuit. Taste/Palate: thick; starts sweet and creamy, and finishes crisp (almost sharp), with a long bitterness.

Poured from a can. Appearance is a darker, syrupy red color. Aroma indicates a malty and not overly spiced beer. Flavor has some sweetness to it, but not sickly sweet like many Winter Ales. Overall it is just a nice, malty, thick but easy drinking beer.

Can. Pours a slightly hazy brown color with a moderate light tan head on there. Nose has some earthy grass elements to it with a bit of bread to it, and seems remarkably fresh. Taste is light and fresh, with a slight bitterness to it. Really nice and easy. I like it.

Pours a very nice caramel brown with burnt white head. Very floral and citrusy aroma. Taste is immediately floral and citrusy, and the velvety mouth feel is fantastic. Very nice
