Clear medium copper, frothy tan head. Grassy floral aroma. Taste is dominated by grassy hops with a sweet malt backbone. I found this to be unbalanced, I prefer lower hopped winter ales with more sweet malts and baking spices. Still a well made, strong hoppy ale. LBW (Lagerboys Be Wary)

Draft at the Brewpub Oct. 2011. Pours a clear ruby colour with a small amount of head. Not a ton of aroma, but a bit of orange peel there. This tastes better as it warms up. The bitterness comes out, but its an easy drinker. I like it quite a bit.

UPDATED: DEC 4, 2011 Pours well with some nice Brussels lace on the side of the glass. Medium carbonation. Herbal and floral nose from the hops, with some maltiness and a bit of sulfur. Nice iced tea color, pretty clear. Taste is bittersweet. Some malolactic character. Finishes bitter. Overall, an enjoyable beer for the holidaysl.

Fresh 22 oz. bottle shared by umr_urgefan- thanks, Paul! Pours a clear orange color with a small off-white head. Fresh citrusy hop aroma with some sweet malts, pine, and tropical fruits. The flavor cranks it up a notch, with citrusy hops, sweet malts, pineapple, pine resin, melon, and caramel. Tasty. Medium-bodied, with a fruity mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Really nice, HUB has impressed me so far.

There are alot of hops for a winter ale. Pours a solid tan/brown. Good malty start like a cookie/buiscut but a bit much bitterness at finish

It pours with a nice head. Nice hops aroma. Starts with a nice hops taste and finished smooth. Better cold then warm.

This poured a somewhat murky medium brown color with a beige head. Aroma was light piney hops and some caramel and alcohol too. Flavor was much the same, medium fruity and pine hops, nice mlat balance. A nice ASA.

Bomber. Clear, burnt-orange pour with an off-white head which fades to leave moderate lace. Fresh hop nose with a medium body and moderate carbonation. Pine and citrus hops, pumpernickel, coffee, orange, caramel and soy. Finish is medium and more of the same. Very good, one of my favorite HUB brews!
