Brewed with 195 pounds of Amarillo, Cascade and Centennial hops, this hopped-out beast had hops added at every point; mash tun, first wort, kettle, and dry hop. Huge spicy and citrus hop aroma, flavor and deep bitterness with an alcoholic bites. I see it in your eyes, take one drink and die, the only thing you see, you know it’s gonna be, The Ace Of Spades! 9.2% ABV 21.5 Deg Plato 100+ IBU

from Birreria Edelweiss@Alba Adriatica - quite clear amber ber with a little yet long lasting foam; aroma of quince marmalade and piney hops; full-bodied, sweet malt backbone; decently dry and long hoppy finish of resiney hops; some apparent alcohol

Bottle. A: Semi-clear orange color with a frothy white head. N: Gigantic pineapple, pine, and grapefruit. Orange syrup and cracker. Very leafy and dirty. Some mango as well. Fruity and very dense spruce. Rounded out by intense black peppercorn. T: Extremely bitter. Nearly astringent. Touch of sweetness but only a touch M: Medium body, resinous, razor blade dryness, alcohol burn, prickly carbonation. O: One of the few IIPAs I have had which deserves the skull. This is so unrestrained that it takes away from the enjoyment of the complexity. A last call beer because it destroys all sensation - and not in a good way. Similar to RuinTen in that fashion.

22 oz Bottle. Tasted on 2/8/15. Bottle courtesy Judy & Pete. Aroma has pine & earthy notes with some orange notes. The taste has pine, peach, citrus & caramel. Not sure the bottle date but didn't have quite the hop bitterness I would expect. Overall a good beer still. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22 oz bottle shared by maniac at the Annapolis tasting, thanks Joe! Clear golden orange with off-white head. Aromas of caramel, orange, citrus, light floral notes. Tastes of hop oils, citrus, tropical fruit, floral notes, bitter hops. Medium body with a dry finish. Nice double IPA.

Pours pale amber with one finger of light tan head head, good retention and moderate lacing. (4/5) Nose is dark caramel malt, piney and floral hops, tropical fruit. (6/10) Taste is moderate sweet, strong bitter. (7/10) Medium body, moderate carbonation, strong bitter finish. (4/5) The malt forward nose was a bit of a disappointment, and despite the huge hop bomb bitterness, there’s still strong maltiness in the flavour. This isn’t a bad DIPA, but it’s not my preferred type of DIPA. For the price, there are better examples of the style. (14/20)

Pours a clear copper color with a medium white head. A big nose of resinous fruit. The flavor is similar with candied fruit, oranges, some light fusel alcohol. Smooth though overall. A nice IIPA ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured from an oversize bottle. Pours reddish-amber with an off-white head. Aroma is hoppy with notes of apricot and honeysuckle. Flavour is hops, grapefruit, pine resin, balanced by honey and sweet malts. Awesome smooth easy drinking IPA.

UPDATED: MAY 2, 2015 Amazing IPA. Huge blast of hops in the aroma and flavour. Tons of citrus and hops. Well balanced and the abv really backs it up well.
