COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with 195 pounds of Amarillo, Cascade and Centennial hops, this hopped-out beast had hops added at every point; mash tun, first wort, kettle, and dry hop. Huge spicy and citrus hop aroma, flavor and deep bitterness with an alcoholic bites. I see it in your eyes, take one drink and die, the only thing you see, you know it’s gonna be, The Ace Of Spades! 9.2% ABV 21.5 Deg Plato 100+ IBU

22oz bottle thanks to Steve. Pours to a mostly clear amber body with a small light tan head. Aroma is bitter, grapefruit hops with notes of pine and citrus and maybe light lemon. Taste is bitter citrus, grapefruit and pine hops up front with some mild sweetness from the malt towards the middle. I like the malt presence in this beer. Finishes with extended hop notes thqt linger on the palate.

Apricot colored pour, white head. Aroma of citrus and resinous hops and a decent malt backbone. Nice bitter and juicy hops on the tongue with a hint of malt. Good stuff.

Generous pour from motortoddhead! Thanks brotha! Deep, hazy bronze color. Nose is moderate citrus and mild pine with a decent helping of clean caramel sweetness. Flavor is mostly moderate citrus bitterness and citrus rind with a well-balanced caramel candy sweetness that hangs in the background. Semi-sticky, but very easy to drink. Would like to try at peak hoppiness.

Large lasting off white head with good retention and lacing.Hazy, orange colored brew. Soft nose of tangerines, spices, resin and a lil booze. Body is fully medium, oily with a soft carbonation, coating and pleasent. Big hop flavors, oranges, citrus with some orange nehi, lifesaver type shit goin on, very tasty. Malts are dry and laid back. Finish is dry, bitter and fruity, juicy. Nice fuckin brew! Props to 5K for the bomber! An easy quaffer for a 9%er. Thats the way i like it baby!

Sampled at GABF. Pours a clear orange with some creamy white head. Nose of pine, soap, lemon zest, grapefruit. Flavor has a bit more punch, orange, grapefruit, pine. Full bodied, astringent finish. Nice, but needed a bit more of a bouquet to the nose.

Draft at Brouwer’s Cafe. Dry-hopped. Pours a deep orange-gold color with a small but frothy off-white head. Aroma of grapefruit, pine, soap, caramel malts, tangerine, and sweat. Flavor of floral notes, pine resin, grapefruit peel, soap, tea, and caramel malts. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a bitter, floral, resinous, citrusy mouthfeel where the bitterness lingers. Good DIPA.

Sampled at GABF 2012. A really strong IPA from a place that makes a mean set of them. Bright and bitter with lingering hops all the way through the sips. Even a one ounce pour requires sipping.
