Slight biscuit malty nose, some lemon. Hazy amber, brown hues, thick creamy off white head. Chewy biscuity malt characteristics continue, balanced by perfumey floral hops flavor and bitterness, delicate flavors. Solid carbonation, rich body, alcohol is impossible to detect. All around nice beer, extremely delicate flavors, yet a pretty big beer. Very well done.

On tap. A: Dark caramel color. Thin head. Modest lacing. N: Pineapple, caramel, toffee, malt, esters. Cracker. T: Sweet and a little savory. Bitterness is restrained. M: Medium heavy. A bit oily. No alcohol presence. O: I had this years ago, and I wasn’t impressed. They’ve made it a superior beer - good for those who enjoy Arrogant Bastard.

Had on draft at the brewery. This is caramel malts, fruity hop character with some slight floral notes, slight alcohol fruitiness as well as some heat. I am impressed.

On tap from a sampler at the brewery in Portland: subdued light crisp - bready, nutty, bitter - surprised it’s nearly 7abv - felt almost sessionable. 7.0

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a copper color with a medium white head. A medium caramel nose with floral hops. The flavor is caramel, toffee, some light crisp bitter hops, earthy. Good brew.

Cloudy red gold, minimal head. Fruity hops aroma. Strong hops flavour, bitter after taste - not too bad at all.

Bottle. it’s kind of like...an amped up amber ale that actually has something going on with it. Good go to in certain situations.

Interesting. Very malty, but has a hoppy attic over this foundation. Bitterness at the finish. Good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Dredd (684) - Bentleigh, AUSTRALIA - APR 14, 2013
This pours well, hazy amber body with caramel head. Aroma is mix of toffee malts, candied orange peel and some hop spice. Flavour is a mix sweet malts, some breadiness and molasses in there with a long bitter finish. Good balance of flavour and easy drinking for a relatively high ABV.

Bottle from King&Godfree. Rich malty flavours, also with fruitiness and hoppy notes. Aromas of caramel, chocolate, nuts, cherry, with hints of liquorice. Taste is sweet, with bitter notes, and long length. Palate is velvety, and medium bodied. Amber, with a frothy head.
