Draft at Main Street Alehouse. Pours a crystal clear medium gold with a big white head that really sticks around, leaving plenty of lacing on the way down. Mild soda cracker nose. Rich, creamy, lively carbed medium body. Great presence on the attack, especially for a pils. Grassy, crackery mid-palate with a nice toasty cracker finish. Light and refreshing with plenty of flavor. Beautifully done.

Neutral aroma, perhaps a bit of grain. Clear gold with delicate small head. Pilsner malt starts; familiar breadiness on the finish. Slightly sulpherous. Smooth lager; not much to report but no real flaws.

Tap. Light crisp hop aroma with a little hint of sweet. Crisp flavor as well, kind of floral. Not bad, and surprisingly good with lemonade!

2010-07-04. Crisp yellow body with a small white head. Flavour is pretty mild, just enough grassy hop bitterness to make it interesting, pale malt undertones are fairly muted. 5+ Mild grassy hop aroma. Average to light palate suits it. Very muted. Does what it sets out to I guess, but is ultimately just okay. On tap at Seattle International Beer Festival

Draught at the brewpub. Light golden with a thick white head. Nice grassy and spicy/floral hop aroma with some fresh bready malt. Well balanced flavor with considerable hops but smooth bitterness (much different in that regard than Upright’s pils earlier in the day). Spicy and grassy with a nice bready malt balance. Very clean and well fermented with nothing off detected at all. Both this and the helles were quite good. Not a total americanized hop-bomb pils, but enough to keep things interesting.

[3113-20100704] Sample. Hay-like grassy yeast aroma. Clear, pale yellow body with a quick foamy white head. Doughy bread yeast flavour has hints of grassy yeast. Light body. Odd aroma at first is not bad. Would like to try more from this brewery.

This wasn’t the best beer, but it’s organic, it’s a pilsener so it’s not going to blow you away.
It had a nice hop profile for a pilsener, it looked pretty typical and tasted much the same. I gave it slightly higher overall scores because it’s organic.

I had this on tap while dining at HUB in Portland, OR. This is a rather hoppy pilsner, fantastic aroma and extremely crisp. Very easy drinking with this one, I wish I could take this home and drink while watching a baseball game.

Unfiltered straw coloured golden pour wearing a more than fair white head. From the looks, I already expect greatness. From the look on my face, I have been served. It’s a very clean pls malt nose that I encounter on the first whiff where hay and the softest breadiness are in fine equilibrium. Refreshing grassy, herbal and slightly spicy bitterness comes with the cleansing, crisp carbonation to provide the kind of finish I like: the one that tells you the next sip will always be welcome and will never be less tasty or interesting than the last one. Saturation just does not happen with that type of beer. Perfect sunny day lager, dry and straightforward. Unsurprisingly, I’m in total disagreement with the majority here. That’s one mighty fine lager, but perhaps not responding to the average wet dreams of a Portland visitor.
